Okay, need some help if anyone has any info.

I have two sets of leaf springs, both from 2nd gens, and from what I can tell they both are associated with the same toyota parts number on the online part store. These springs are definitely different though, wondering if anyone can shed any light as to why or any other info?

    Set 1:

    Set 2:

Set 1 is marked on the top and set 2 on the bottom.

Set 2 is a bit harder to read all the markings but even just googling what you can see brings up the toyota part number for the leafs. Set 2 I swear is also heavier and has thicker leafs. Not anything crazy, but noticeable.

Is there any significance with the MX vs CD markings? Or anything like that? Is one pre/post TSB springs? Idk. But any insight would be greatlyyy appreciated.

When I got my Gen. 3 take offs, I googled the part numbers and they came back as side specific. Could be same thing in your case.

True, but these are both the left rear. Same toyota part number but marked entirely different and somewhat different construction. Curious why there is such a difference when they route back to the same toyota part#. Just weird.

Different years in between them? Even though 2nd Gen. and 3rd Gen leafs are the same, they hold different part numbers as vendors (whoever makes them for Toyota) or other minor changes made. Could be the same between years in Gen's as going from one Gen to another.

Definitely a possibility, but set 2 def seems to be heavier duty. Any chance they changed spring rates during 2nd gen years or something?

Possibility. Unknown for sure. Only real change I can recall was the TSB.
