I installed the Sokie Tech hood strut dampers today. Simple install in about 20 mins. A few quick notes: - drivers side mounts to fender by battery ground wire fender hole. Passenger side mounts to hole under rubber fender guard which I cut a notch in. Hood mounts go to the top bolt and point outward. Short strut is drivers side. Lift hood to get pivots onto swivels. Easy peasy!!

I installed the Sokie Tech hood struts on my Tacoma today. I was lucky and did not have to notch the rubber fender guard. Thank you for the heads up on the shorter strut going on the driver's side. The instructions from Sokie Tech did not provide much detail WRT which strut goes on which side.

I installed two Sokie dampers and didn't have to notch anything. Weird that you had too.
