I can count on one finger the amount of times I've bought a new set of lug nuts for any vehicle I've ever owned.

I ordered new lug nuts for the Tacoma, not sure if they're the proper fit though, what do y'all think?

I have the GST wheels that use the acorn style lug nuts.

I checked the base angle, both are 60 degrees.
My question is about the contact patch, the gorillas have quite a bit less area on the angled portion. I couldn't find definitive information, even on Goooble.
I've never used slim profile spline lugs before so I am not familiar.

ive only had one come off over the 2 years ive had mine locked down on SCS wheels. i blame it on the toyota tech that rotated my wheels and changed the oil. cost me $10 for another one

If your wheel needs acorn style then those gorilla are perfectly fine. Countless people use them.

Don't see any problem. Most stores have different brands & styles, as long as the face is tapered, should be good to go. By the picture, looks like new one is a smaller size, a new lug wrench may be in order.

Right on guys, thank you for the quick replies!

I do have a new wrench to go with them.
I guess I was just worried that they wouldn't have as solid a purchase on the wheel.

Don’t lose the socket for those. There have been numerous people that have had a flat tire and the socket is mysteriously missing. I actually sold mine to a guy for double what it cost me to buy a replacement.

I was going to order a spare socket from them, maybe two depending on cost. Keep one in the garage and one in the glove box.

Be careful using an impact gun on the socket. The wall is thin and can split easily

My fingers and a socket on the end of a properly set torque wrench are the only things that touch my nuts thank you.

As long as the nuts make it to the mantel for display, she’s more than welcome to
