I have a 7 year old pitbull. I adopted at 1 year of age. She's always been an extremely picky eatter since I've had her. Yesterday she had surgery to remove her uterus. She had Pyometra. Turns out she is also a diabetic. Being she is so extremely picky. I understand it's only day one after her surgery. But I would like her to eat so I can give her.. her insulin shot.

Any suggestions would help on what to feed her, how to feed her is wont eat. Vet said it might have to force feed her since she's a picky eatter.

I may have left out some details.. but any help from the TW community would help. Pls and Thank you!

Surprised no one gave suggestions in all this time.

My local deli/supermarket has a "dog meat" platter they will make up for you. Either raw or wrap it in tinfoil and bake it. Mine never turns down meat.

Thanks for the reply. Over the weeks. Raw meat & canned pumpkin was what I started with. She was able to get it down. Then it was raw meat, pumpkin and frozen broccoli (heated) mixed. I still mix that up for her and I was also able to find a good high fiber dry food she likes. Thank petco for being able to exchange bags she doesn't like.
