I have a 2017 TRD 4x4 off road that I’m going to trade in tomorrow. I have the TRD beadlock style wheels that are on the truck that I’m going to take off and put the stock wheels back on. They both have valve stems on them, but the sensors are on the wheels that I’m taking off.
Q1- will a dash light turn on if I try to turn in the truck without swapping the sensors? I don’t want to spend the extra money to swap them which is 135 since the tire shops charge 15 per
Q2- what’s the going rate for the TRD Beadlocks with tires if I decide to sell them? I was thinking around 1400 Photo has the wheels that I’m taking off.

More than likely, yes light will be on.
Seems like you're going to pay either way, reduction in trade value or paying a shop. The dealer more than likely isn't going to sell without,,,, if they're reputable anyway.

If you have negotiated the trade in without the wheels, I would just swap them out and keep the sensors on the TRD wheels and let them deal with it.

Swap out the wheels. Piece of black over the light on your dash and play dumb if the dealership notices.

That’s what I was thinking... I was even thinking about having them swap the wheels when I get there.

    So follow up on that...
Do the dealerships have the capability of doing tire stems typically or do they outsource to a nearby tire store?

    I guess you've asked a fair question.

However before you consider trying to sell them here, get familiar with the BST rules.

Sure any dealer can swap them out.

Not sure I want to sell them. I’m debating on a TRD Pro, or a new version of what I have. If I get the off road 4x4 I’ll keep them. If I get the Pro I think I’ll leave that the way it is. Which is why I’m hesitant on spending the money on the stems in the first place.
Thanks for the heads up though!

The other strange thing is dealerships in TX have to be closed on either Saturday or Sunday. So I can’t just go over there and ask these questions until tomorrow

Just slap the other tires and rims and let them know about the sensors I’m pretty sure they Will care less if your trading up they are making money no point for the dealership to fight over pennies on some sensors .

So your solution is to act in a disreputable manner?

Just run it by the salesperson helping you. I'm sure they can accommodate a swap, or maybe honor the trade in without the sensors. They're not going to lose a sale over it.

Thanks for the input guys, I just switched the sensors back out and kept the aftermarket wheels. Turned the vehicle in for trade just now. Cost 135, but didn’t want to deal with the potential headache

So because it's a dealership you don't need to display good morals and ethics? And folks then complain about people who steal packages or hit and run etc.

In all fairness you did suggest being a lying piece of shit...so...

OP, just put the stock set back on without the sensors and let the dealership handle it. They are going to be making a fair bit of money off you anyway so I don't think it would be a big deal. Even if they knock a couple hundred off the trade value you'll still save a some time and effort by not doing it yourself.
