Does that cover the chrome ring, or did you remove the OEM part first?

    Yo Taco Owners!

the GR Corolla accessory shift knob fits 3rd gen. $128 from my local dealer. Looking to transfer the boot clip to the new knob or 3D print something else!

Mine did this weird thing where the locking nut sunk into the ball. I don't understand how this happened as nothing is loose, nothing spun around and it's perfectly fine. I like the look much better not seeing the nut but confused as to what is going on.

If anyone knows how to do this, I feel like its how it should be. I love the TRD knob but hate feeling the nut at the bottom. It doesn’t feel OEM.

I hated the nut too and then it wasn't there.

I wish I could tell you how it happened. I get that the anchor could have sunk into the ball but then it would be loose right?

The Teton knob has less girth than the OEM pro knob, which I like. Shifts feel more notchy and less muted. I got a 3D printed shift boot retainer from Etsy that fits over the chrome ring. Attached an updated photo.

Interesting, was going to say that it looks smaller for sure and wasn't sure how the weight felt. the shift boot retainer is a nice add too. How hot does it get in the sun?
