I may just have to stay insane... still love the soft top but practicality is screaming aluminum camper, need to be able to get stuff in and out the back on a daily

Having a good time. Bought my 16” fox coilovers from Accutune Off-road They were first class people to deal with. The top will be a 2 inch DOM A-arm. To keep my gas tank in stock location and lower trailing arms will be the 2inch DOM as well.

Nice! Looks super clean. Where is your compressor located in the engine bay?

It is mounted vertically in front of the air box. Uses a Slee 2nd gen Tacoma mount with that custom twisted top bracket designed by somebody here on TW to make it work with 3rd gens. I wanted to mount it somewhere that wasn’t being used for something else and this was the best option I found. This is an old picture of course as the switch and coupler are no longer under the hood.

So I ordered some of these usb led lights and I can’t say I recommend them for the center console USB port. For whatever reason they stay lit for maybe 10 seconds and then go out for a second and it repeats that way. In the dash USB port they stay lit constantly, so not sure what that is about. I tried both blue and ice blue since they are cheap. All 8 of them did the exact same thing in the console USB port, so I know it’s not just a led issue. The reviews mention others having issues with them flashing like that in car applications also. Oh well, it works well enough for my needs even if it does go off for a second randomly.

That's weird it does that, I have one in my center console and it works great.

Might be be the front port is trying to communicate with the radio. One in the center console is straight charging power

Yeah, probably the salt water. Mine has the polished SS tip anyway. That’s one of the reasons I went with that instead of black. I figured the finish would probably hold up better.

That’s what I thought as well, but if a different brand works fine in the console, then it makes me wonder if it is just a quality issue with the ones I purchased.

I went with the blue. It looks to be about the same light output.

OMFG! Yes, it's doable. But have to be 100% sure air feeding path is water tight. Impressive, anyways.

I dunno now, the fact that they don’t fully understand how a before and after shot is supposed to work has me a little worried
All the lights in the house were on prior to plugging in the usb light
