So I am running 17x9 inch wheels with a -12 offset for 4.5 inches of backspacing. I have 5100s set to 0 with 888 coils which yielded a little over 2 inches in lift not quite 2.5. Now that I have gotten 285s I rub my front bumper/fender liner a lot. Body mount a teeny amount. I do have stock control arms but am worried with the front bumper rubbing that moving my caster forward wouldn’t be doable without a new bumper or cutting the oem bumper such as a “viper” cut. Just wondering if anyone else had to cut there bumper with this tire size and lift set up

Well like I said I rub more in front then in rear positive caster won’t help me. After second inspection I think I can cut the fender liner a bit and not rub anymore, allowing room for some additional caster

That cut in the bumpers looks pretty sick also.

Can you not set those 5100 up two rings to total around 3"? Or dont want to? If i remember each ring on the 5100 was .25" but may need an AAL. 285 might be a bit too big without. I ran 275 with 5100 (on stock springs) setup maxed out and didn't rub at all, miles of room, could have done 285 just didn't want to ditch my stock mudflaps, but thats the only they touched, and just barely.

I just put 295/70-17 on today no rub, but I did do spc control arms and a mount chop the day before. I know none of that helps you, but my advice is put those bilstiens up a ring or two and you should be fine...ish.

You don't "need" upper arms until 3" of lift, but positive caster would absolutely help you rubbing up front, positive caster pushes the tire, essentially, back, away from the front fender. Or is essentially the upper balljoint in relation to the lower, so pushing it towards the rear results is positive caster, forwards to the front is negative.

I was able to cut the outer most tab for the fender liner on the bumper, take all the front fender liner fasteners out, shove the liner forward, drill a new hole in the liner and then secure the liner to an original mounting tab on the bumper with a plastic rivet. Plenty of room now
