I'm a noob on this type of thing so forgive me....
Does the Tacoma have upper control arms in both front and rear? Or just rear?
I was thinking of getting a lift and replacing the ucas but wasn't sure if I had to buy 4 replacements or just 2.

Just the 2 in the front.
    One per side.

The Tacoma has a solid fixed axle in rear that needs no alignment. The front has independent wish bone suspension with an upper and lower control arm and does require alignment time to time. The upper and lower control arms have an upper and lower ball joint where the wheel hub is located and is also where the strut tower goes up to connect to the body. There is also the rac and pinion with the inner tie rod and the outer tie rod. In addition, there’s the sway bar and links if you didn’t remove it for off roading.

Rear is a solid axle, not independently sprung (which requires control arms, both lower and upper).

Maybe try looking under your truck for yourself, instead of questioning a member with 37k+ posts? :notsure:

Come on now, we all had to start someplace, he's asking questions.

Rear suspension is leaf spring, as stated above, it doesn't have any control arms, as the leaf springs hold the axle in place being mounted to the frame.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
He owns a Taco, wants to modify it, and hasn't looked underneath to attempt to understand what he's modifying?
A little sarcasm is deserved methinks.

Tacoma has a rear solid axle so only the two in the front.

pretty sure the Honda ridge line is the only truck on the American market without a rear solid axle.

OP I'll sell you my stock rear control arms if you're seriously in the market. $500. They're gonna look like old Chevy hubcaps but don't let that throw you.
