Better hope the "halogen or retrofit only group" doesn't catch wind of this.

I have found that a graphite spray is preferable to WD40 or other "wet" lubricants. It will not collect dirt. Clean everything with brake clean before applying.

Got it. Yeah it just seems weird that it’s not engaging and opening until the last few degrees, it’s like the handle when it was cracked.

    Anyone tried these?

Mine is doing the same thing. I’ve had no handle now for probably a year and won’t replace it until I figure out why it’s so difficult to open. I’ve always figured the door was slightly crooked. If I get my fingers under the door and pull up it seems to open easier. I just haven’t tried to do anything about it yet.

Give the latch mechanism (the part that actually holds the door closed) a good cleaning. It's best if you remove it and clean it real good. It's not really that hard to get out. You just have to disconnect the bottom of the window track on that side to give you room, and it will come out. Get the years of gunk off it and you will be able to open the door with your little finger.

    Now another fun topic, batteries
I know all companies have bad batteries. Optima etc.

I was looking at the Duracell AGM SLI24FAGM. Nice 4 year warranty and a lot of locations

Not running a winch or fridge but have some accessories.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Question... Can't remember the answer and can't find it.

General rule of thumb, how many threads equal 1 inch lift on most coilovers. I need to raise the front AROUND 1 inch and would rather not be taking these damn things on and off all day.

I want to say with my Kings it was roughly a half inch for every two threads. I just lowered the driver's side a few weeks ago because I will still rubbing my cv boot.

I don't know about the procedure with Fox, but with Kings you can do it with them on truck. Just loosen the collar and turn it with a big punch. The UCA gets in the way a bit but it's not too bad, but again this is with Kings. I'm not familiar with how it works on Fox

Actually yeah with the resis I could see it being harder to adjust ride height with the hose and fitting getting in the way

I keep thinking 4 threads equal an inch. But I'm not positive. Should be reasonably close to the same. Fox, King, Icon, Sway Away all have pretty close to the same size threads.

    Too many variables.

    Coil strength
    Weight of your truck

Could be 2-4 depending on that. Sadly it's a bit of trial and error

I recently adjusted my right front CO. Wanted to take out a little pre-load. I moved the adjustment collar up a 1/4" and ended up changing the ride height by 1/2".
