Thanks! I've done a lot of work to it. I'm going to replace the old worn out bed side decals with some ghostlike ones.

That’s sick, I’m working on getting some stock replicas in black for the bed decals. The PO stripped all the emblems and stickers off. Trying to black out the whole exterior or as much of it as I can

I had a 17 Sport I had written off Oct 4th, and I miss this ride very much. I did however do some suspension upgrades and I can tell you it was worth every cent. The truck was mainly a daily driver but I also needed to head up to the mine on moderate to rough forestry roads in the summer and at about 70k I noticed the stock suspension was needing to be replaced. Truck was loosing control and turning on me on wash board gravel roads, the back end would ‘bang’ going over frost heaves in the road,...it was time to replace. I went with the bilstein 6112 coil overs up front and 5100’s in the back. Also went with Old Man Emu medium upgrade leafs and the ride was night and day different. Truck maintained control on wash board forestry roads and had no need to slow down for those frost heaves. Just fricken go!
I had 1.5” lift on the front with the shocks and the rear leafs lifted 1.5” on the back. I didn’t level it but had thought about it. The only tire size change I did was to 265/70/17 but I did that on the stock shocks. The plan was to go the next step higher on the tire size once they needed to be replaced to 275’s but for me, I’d stop there.
The 1.5” lift in the front caused some vibrations right away so I changed out the needle bearing on the drivers side diff to the clam shell bushing and it fixed the noise I was hearing but still maintained the low speed vibration. Did a diff and carrier bearing drop that didn’t change anything and tossed around the idea that I needed to upgrade the cv axels or maybe swap out the rear drive shaft/carrier bearing to a one piece like Tacoma Beast did on his YouTube. I was going to book it in to Pat’s Driveline to see if they could pin point where the vibration was coming from but ... early morning on October 4th, I had an appointment with an elk on the highway and it fixed all my problems in a nano second.

Also, thank you for your service.

I'll second the 6112's. Fantastic 2.5" shock for the money. I'm set at 2" front with a 1.5" block in the back and sits perfect. The ride is incredible comfortable - just soaks up the bumps.
