Which colour is is the most popular and easy to resell?

Trying to decide on my colour and was set on MGM until now. But now wondering if I should consider white and cement as well. I want a colour that will age well as I plan to own the truck for the next 10-15 years and then be able to easily resell.

 

I'd avoid white. Super White has paint flaking issues.

Sandstone,cement and MGM should hold well. MGM is classic I’ve had no issues with mine going on 7 years

 

Why are you buying a truck for the next guy to drive. Buy what you want

 

White and Silver have best resale. Avoid reds and blues.

Green is rare and may drive a higher price but I stick to the norms.

 

Non one buys a 10-15 years old truck for the colour.

 

What he said. Also consider what's best/easiest to maintain. I would NEVER consider white or black. Silver or desert sand do not show dirt quickly, but both are common. Do you want to be one of them, or do you want to satisfy yourself?

 

I believe MGM usually bumps the price up a bit

 

There are a few threads on it. It's a Toyota issue, not unique to the Tacoma. Basically something in the makeup of the paint causes it to flake off of the metal in places.

 

I believe something to do with the materials it is made with. It isn't unique to the Tacoma though. I believe some Camry's and other models have had the same issues.

I love the MGM but honestly it shows dirt pretty bad, as bad as black.

Originally I thought that the cement was just a shiny primer gray, and to some degree it’s kind of like that.
A few neighbor have cement tacos and they don’t show the dirt as much as mine.
Now I wish I went with cement, not sure what that lunar rock color is like.

 

Single stage in the white paint, whatever that means..... no clear coat?

 

It's rare, I've only seen it on one 4runner and one highlander.

Since when does the color of the truck determine the resale value??? How are you coming up with White and Silver having the best resale? I personally prefer blue or red over white or silver and would have NO problem selling my truck for the same amount as a similarly appointed silver or white vehicle.

 

Don't get offended because you have a blue truck.
