If we already have the factory remote start, will this kit make it so the car doesn’t turn off when the door opens?

 

No. No kit, aftermarket or OEM will do that. Let us know if you find one

 

My neighbor’s Tundra doesnt shut off when the door opens. Viper alarm with remote start.

 

Then its not push to start. Our Tundra kits don't either. But ALL Toyota Push to Starts will, viper or not.

Our HKEY and STD KEY 3rd gen Tacomas don't turn off either...

 

Should have gotten an SR...

Read the fine print...only if the OEM remote has that as an OEM function. It does not, so not applicable for the Tacoma. However, with that said, there is a kit out there that can be added for that feature: Click Here to See Product

Is it possible to purchase the smart phone module separately, down the road? I don't see an option for it on the site.

 

Absolutely! They can be found in the "Remote Start Add On Options" tab on our "Shop Vehicle Tab".
