I ordered the reference 500 system with dual subs from OEMAudioPlus. I installed the speakers back in July, and waited to install the amp until the subs came in. The subs are coming in today. I finally got around to installing the amp last night, and when I hooked it all up, there was no sound coming from the right tweeter and the front right door speaker. I double checked all connections and they were fine. Does anyone know why this is happening?

When you install the amp is when you run the T-Harness. It may not be an amplifier issue, it could be something in the harness that’s causing you to lose front right.

You should be able to verify signal on each pair with a multimeter on the amplifier input connector. I would start there.

Can you give us a basic rundown of how you wired your system? For example I left all the factory wiring in place and and ran new wires for all my channels. If you spliced into anything that’s always a good place to start. Are your doors also amplified?

Make a pigtail that you can insert the wires into the terminals of the connector you need to meter. Insert one end of the pigtail wires into the connector pins you want to take a reading from, use the other end to connect to your multimeter probes.

Play a 1KHz tone on your stereo at mid-low volume and check your multimeter for VAC. You should see the voltage generated by the tone through the speaker out of the factory stereo. You will need to know/find out which pins are used for each speaker out. Move your wires to different pins of the connector to meter all of your stereo outputs and verify all are working. You should get reasonably similar readings on all channels. The next step in finding out what to do will be determined by what you find by performing this procedure.

Here is a picture of my whip and a connector I have lying around wired to my multimeter.

I didn't splice anything, and the OEMAudioPlus system allows you to keep factory wiring. I disconnected the speaker input wire and plugged it into a wire running to the amp, and then plugged another wire running from the amp to my speaker input on the back of my stock radio. I didn't run any wires on the right side of the car, so I couldn't have bumped a wire. I ran the power cable through the drivers side firewall nipple.
