Does anyone know if this procedure will work in a 2005 Tundra? I am having the exact same problem after doing a lift. Every time I go around a curve the trucks VSC kicks in and locks the brakes down. Very frustrating. TIA.

    Have a 2017 Tacoma TRD 4X4 3" lift, Wild Peak 32" Tires.
Never had this happen in the three years I have owned it until the dealership just rotated the tires with an oil change.
Now it happens every time I get on the same freeway on ramp I drive everyday to work.
Its scary, the ABS Kicks on and the steering wheel pulls to the left.
It is a sweeping long right hand on ramp and I almost lost it the first three times it happened.
I don't want to take it to the dealership if it could be they over inflated my tires like they always do.
Everything done to my Tacoma was done by a shop the AutoNation Toyota dealership has do their upgrades before I bought it.
It was a floor model that has a 3" Lift, the Wheels, and Tires.
Does the reset work on 2017 Tacos or should I make the dealership reset the calibration?
    Thanks in Advance everyone.

I have performed the reset multiple times after installing my lift. The recalibration process worked but did not actually resolve the issue of the VSC kicking on around bends. I had an alignment done and the shop said they had even performed a recalibration with their equipment but still the issue remains.

    Crazy.
I did notice it's pulling to the left on the freeway since the last tire rotation but I still don't understand how it drove perfect for 30K miles and this just started when they just did the service.
It's going back to the dealership if it doesn't go away after I try the reset.
I just can't believe Toyota hasn't addressed this issue since I have seen a ton of post's for it on 2nd generation and 3rd generation Tacos and it's so dangerous.
I'll post if I find its better after I try the reset or the dealership fixes it.
Thanks for the quick reply Fixxxer.

Unsure about this reset with the Tundra, but it may be worth giving this a try.
I came across this in my search to resolve the issue with my Tacoma.

Thanks. Just had to do this after picking up my truck from Firestone for an alignment.

Has anobody been able to do this trick on a 2019+ model. Seems the pins are different from ops pic. I need to reset my 2021 after a wheel alignment where the shop left me with a bunch of triggered codes...

How do i know? My lsd light is always on since my lift. I had some beeping around turns and sounded like my abs engaged but very seldom and not for a long time. Will my lsd light turn off if it works?

So 2020 and up owners are pretty much screwed if you wanna lift and put bigger tires? Dealership wants to charge $130 just to look at it...and god knows how much they are going to charge to fix it

I don't think so? You just need a Tactrix and TechStream to do the calibration, or find someone local to you that has those and can do the calibration for you.

Most techstream won’t support 2020 from what I’ve learned. I looked into buying one and they all said it won’t work on 2020 tacoma.

The one in my sig works for 2020s. Used it several times on 2020s myself. I have TS V15 linked in the 1st Post of the ECU Update thread. I've used that one on a 2021 and was the reason that upgraded to it.

I've had the same experience. Slow, steady flashing VSC and ABS lights on shorting out the terminals, quicker flashing after recalibrating... and the lights remain on.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
That means you are properly conducting the VSC recalibration. However, something is still causing an issue and it is rejecting the new data and kicking out, thus leaving on the lights. Problem not yet resolved and will not accept new calibration to the VSC computer.

In the interim, a cheap multimeter to check continuity in your wiring harness to each of the four sensors would serve you well and I would bet find your issue.

The way I understand it, the speedo is calibrated/read at the left rear speed sensor... so if the speedo is working that sensor and wiring should be good... right?

That's where this truck took all the damage, so that's where I expected the problem to be.

So just trying to eliminate one issue if possible before checking everything. Does that sound reasonable?

Yes, LR harness should be good to go. I find pinched and broke harnesses from road debris and other things as well, but that is one wheel sensor and harness leg good.
