    Hello everyone,

Looking for advice. I picked up some 3rd gen trd offroad suspension used from a great guy locally (off a 2016); traded for firewood...and wanted to put it onto my 2020 SR 4x4. Would you switch everything over (leafs and front and rear shocks/springs) or everything but forget the leafs? I’ve done leaf springs before on my ‘02 Tacoma but would love to skip the hassle of the trd offroad leafs if they’re not much different from my current leafs (SR). Any thoughts much appreciated. I’m kinda building a fake trd offroad out of my 4x4 SR...(minus the locker). Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a good deal. I’m sure you could get away without the leafs but if you have the wood, might as well. Bargaining at is finest.

I would not change the leafs.
    But that’s just me.

I would change the others. Coils springs and shocks.

I changed the leaf packs. Look at the part numbers, they are different for a reason, I have OR coils and leaf packs w the billstien shocks. Drove it 2 weeks 100 miles a day, w out changing the leafs, noticeable softer.

If this is true, might as well change them.
    I drive a 2nd Gen O/R. I wouldn’t want any “softer” springs.

I would ask the parts guys at your dealer to see if there is any difference. If they are the same, you won't need to swap.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure how much different the leaf packs would be. Thanks for your input.

If it helps, here is a photo of the TRD OR leaf pack (Ignore the Pro shock, I replaced my OEM OR shocks this weekend). A93A8493-79AD-4FB3-8833-FD54B11DDEDD.jpg
