Hey , have any of y'all ever took out the oil pressure sensor and just welded or did something to seal off the whole? On my 98, I broke my sensor yesterday while changing oil filters . So I went to the store and got another one and put it in. Well this morning I drive 110 miles to work and get out of the truck and just happen to look under it, and there's oil everywhere. Long story short, the nipple that you screw the sensor in was cracked down the side. So I freaked out cause while it's running it gushes out pretty good. I ran all over that little town and the two automotive shops told me they were way to busy and so the only muffler shop said their guy that did the welding was pretty green , plus they were way too busy. Thankfully I had a guy behind me listening and he knew I was up shit creek and told me about a guy that was good at welding. So I found this guy's shop and talked to him and told him about it and he said he would try it. Anyway he welded the crack and we thought it was done but after a little bit there started to bead up oil. But not where he welded. It's hard to tell where it's coming from so I got a rubber washer and put it on the sensor and tightened it down. It still beads up. So I'm thinking of either getting some JB weld and putting it all around that nipple. Or if I can find someone around my town that can weld and don't mind laying on the ground to do it? I was thinking of just putting a bolt in there and having him weld it all up. I would like to have that sensor but I would like to not have a leaking hole more. Plus I don't think it's working anyway, cause it didn't come on when I broke the first one and drove to the auto store. Any thoughts? Or has anyone else ran into breaking that nipple?

I have an Addicted Offroad on mine. Sticks out a little too far for my taste but kind of mandatory to fit the winch.

Yeah it was tough to fit mine without chopping up the grille. Luckily I had the box relocate from when the winch was on my taco so it worked out perfect.

The one in CR is diesel, no idea what exactly. I'm assuming this was more of a foreign market thing

When I sell this camper trailer I’m intending to pull a 45 Ute and a 45 troopy out of Australia as projects for my son and I. He gets the Ute because I’m not keen on being a grandfather just yet.

HJ45s mostly came with 2H Diesel engines unless Brasil license manufactured then odds are it has a M.Benz engine in it as was sold as a “J45 Bandeirante.”

R150 but the imput shaft is shorter so you need to use the 3.0 flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, and bellhousing if you want it behind a 3.4... keep in mind the t case is passenger drop

Thanks, Running board. I'm just thinking of ways I can go with this project truck. The guy told me that the motor had a knock in the lower end. He said that when he let out on the clutch in 1st gear it would get louder and when he put it in reverse it would kinda go away. But it has been sitting for 8 or so years and I'm going to try to get it started first before I just start pulling the motor. So there's alot of rust in the tank that I'm dealing with and I got a used fuel pump so I'm in the process of putting the tank back in . But it the motor is really gone I have a buddy that has an extra 3.4 I could probably get pretty cheap instead of rebuilding the 3.0 that's in it. So I'm just coming up with options.

This is my daughters 86, in 2014 she turned 16 and wanted a truck for her first vehicle and had seen pics of my first new truck I bought. Which was an 86 red 4x4 standard cab 5 speed with a 22r. so she set out to find one and to my surprise she found one in Nevada and at first looking at the add for it I actually thought it could be my old truck, it had a trailmaster lift just like I had added to mine and the same white wagon wheels, 6BF85844-7C81-4884-9357-846812C97306.jpg 1F5D9172-EE9A-4504-B920-8CD1BC92B5E4.jpg but no power steering that I had swapped into mine in 87. Got to relive lots of good memories teaching her to drive a manual and showing her some basic off-roading in it.

I have these seats out of an 86 4runner for sale. I am yet to clean them, which i will do before handing them over. They do not have any tears, recline and slide without issues. Asking $500 for all of them, Front Driver, Front Passenger, Rear Seat. I am located in Saint Louis, MO. Can meet up within reasonable distance.

Spotted this today and it made me sad..
Someone has taken it upon themselves to try and make the arguably best 2gen Toyota PU, 84/85 solid front axle truck somehow “cooler” by putting all the nameplates and stickers from a Tacoma TRD prerunner on it.
