    Progress so far:
    Mountain Hatch
    Weathertech
    TRD Pro grille
    MESO tail light LED kit
    Replacement front headlight LED bulbs
    Black Emblems
Rear bumper chrome -> black replacement
    TC Bed Stiffeners

    Next up:
Mid-height Rack (thinking RCI or diamondback w/ FR)
    RTT
Maybe wheels/tires but may keep stock until the need arises.

    Far future:
Prinsu Rack (for kayaks and paddleboards)
    BD Squadron SAE fogs (amber)
Roof mounted light bar (as needed)
    Sliders/Nerf boards
    Lift
    Ditch lights (as needed)

Removed stock tailgate panel for mountain hatch, removed trd carpet mats, removed stock trd OR grille, and removed the predator tube steps. What else am I missing?!

hello-just got same truck tho it had tech pkg so got lucky there-got our list of things to do ourselves .Wondered if you might advise on a couple cool things similar to our list and priorities-sorry if any of this dumb questions, i just the wifey but the shopper also. want to proceed with good taste as I see all her this site.

    1. Fix #1 is a pro grill-I see tons of cheaper versions online, do you all recommend we go with a true Tacoma pro grill at much higher price but worth it? im getting confused by knock-offs and was it easy to do this yourself (we are v. handy) need to have the cut out for the Safety Sense.
    2. Why did you get rid of the step bars when we are thinking to add them-i was hitting they were cool addition=no? -do they get in way of clearance or ?
    3. Those tail lights look like they have the clear covers over them which is like and have seen on a pro...is this what you changed and is that a pricey fix?

    Thanks for any solid advice-

Definitely! Totally forgot to update my current truck look and build:

    To answer your questions:
    1) It is incredibly easy to do it yourself and there are a ton of simple to follow guides. I was shocked just how easily. I bought mine from Etsy but easier than that you could buy from TacomaBeast for example (https://tacomabeast.com/products/tr...2&_sid=737bdb4a5&_ss=r&variant=30862952562790) It's the TRD Pro Grille. And because mine has forward collision assistance (yours probably does too), you need to get it with the sensor garnish. It will be cheaper than the OEM one but not by a large margin honestly.

    2) The predator steps for me were purely personal preference. I plan on putting rock sliders on instead, but I do have to admit I love the look of the predator steps that my truck came with. They aren't typically needed to get up into the truck, because of how low the seats are on the floor of the cab (a little awkward), but they are definitely useful for reaching to a roof rack, protecting your lower sides of your truck, and for looks.

    3) The taillights are actually stock, they came with the truck and are the 2020 ones. I switched out all the bulbs for the MESO Customs rear tail light LED kit, but the housings came with the truck. If you wanted to get those for yours (if yours are different), I'm sure you could find them online (just search "2020 trd off road tacoma tail lights oem" or something), or go to the classifieds section of tacomaworld (or your state specific thread too) and post that you are looking for them. Chances are, someone is getting rid of theirs for cheap.

If you have any other questions feel free to reach out! Always love welcoming new tacomas to the neighborhood!

Hello! Thanks Borefore, I love your info, truck and advice! I gotcha on rails and lights. Here are remaining questions if you are so kind:

    1. On the replacement grill, How does it perform with the forward camera/ assistance? We count on the system alot! A company i found same grill form Cali Raised LED ,sells the garnish and then they told me it will NOT work with the garnish!!? But I have read a bit on it being a little more flighty when moved so would love your experience on this and if it was simple to reconnect the camera. Id almost like to get same as you so I trust it-there are lots of sites with this grille! Is the Tacomabeast the supplier you yours from on Etsy?

PS -did you know that Toyota recently decided to not sell you the OEM Pro grill unless you provide a VIN for your Pro?

    2. Well it also happens that you have the Diamondback system on your bed-we liked this one-the concern was once you rig it with bars, you cant get in from the top, correct.
Thanks so much for help ! Chris
