just installed the djm 3/4 kit with calmax front/rear shocks. changed the sway bar bushings out as well and you can instantly feel the difference. currently at the shop getting aligned. getting the cross shaft out of the stock uca’s were a pain in the ass for the mechanic haha

    I did some stuff.
Does anyone know what my backspacing limits are for the front wheels once I install the DJM 3/4 lowering kit. The current wheels I’m looking at are a 35mm offset with a 6.13 backspacing. This is for a 1997 5 lug btw.

Can some one explain to me the point of lowering your truck? Idk I go off-roading so I lifted mine but I just wanted to understand people go the opposite direction and lower. Also do yall keep the same tires or go with smaller tires as well or just lower suspension?

Well I have always lowered my vehicles, I like the look and being that I live in south Florida and enjoy a well handling vehicle around corners I always go low. It’s a matter of choice the same could be said for a lifted truck especially here we don’t really have any real nice trails just flat muddy tracts. And I know you may say when you lower you lose load capacity and you don’t if you do it correctly.
Also I just love the look on people’s faces when my little truck passes their car in a corner!

It’s so funny you ask cause I see so many trucks daily with a super lift that NEVER go off road lol

oh ok gotcha I can see the appeal in that. I mean not my cup of tea personally, but I can see why you would want more handling for what you do.

I wanna eventually turn my 2wd into a mega truck but at least I'd take it off-roading because I never learn my lesson when i get stuck lol

With 4in of rear drop you'll smack your frame on your axle. I just recently c notched my frame to correct this.

Camper bed cap, led fog lights, LED/HID upgrade kits for highs & lows, custom paint job, +/- 4" lift (more like 3" on the driver's side and 5" on passenger side...gotta love the taco lean), big 5 wire upgrade, custom painted interior, satin black paint job that looks like shit because it was my first time painting a vehicle, custom audio system and a big booty butt load of random off road and work lights. That being said it is a DLX and I really didn't need to do any mods because obviously it's the DELUXE edition
Where'd you get that front bumper in the first pics? Custom?
