Looking for advice on skid plates in Canada

Ditto here. Got it at a decent price - shipped from Ontario to BC so I couldn't not buy it. Easy install as well, although I was kind of hesitant at first with the torque wrench with what I've read of the welded frame nuts breaking loose when other members have installed their skid plates. In the end, everything went well and it is a definite improvement over the flimsy OEM OR "skids".

 

great to hear! I love that skid. It’s lightweight, has oil access, jack point and looks awesome! Plus, being in Canada, I appreciate aluminum just because it won’t get destroyed by the salt on our roads here in Ontario.

I have a 2017 TRD Sport which did not come with a skid plate under the fuel tank. If anyone has replaced their factory skid plate with custom plates and has OEM skid plates for sale, let me know. The TRD Sport only has a skid plate under the front part of the motor. For me the most important one is under the fuel tank, but if you have skid plates for transmission and transfer case I'd be interested in those as well. The Sport has a tine skid plate under the transfer case but i imagine that the Offroad model has more protection.
