So I have a 2011 TRD sport 4x4. 150k miles. The rear lead springs are shot and need replacing. I looked up my VIN for a recall and its not showing anything. Contacted the dealer to see if they would cover it...they also looked up my VIN and said they will not cover anything since its not under recall. Anyone know why it wouldn’t be under recall? I know most Tacomas in that year range are covered by the TSB replacement. I only have the 3 leaf pack also. Thanks in advance.

I have a 2011 Off-Road. I had the 4 pack leaf spring conversion done when it was new. I was told at the time it was "not a recall" but a TSB and needed to be done prior to the OEM warranty expiration.

I have a 2010 that I bought in Feb. 2019 and received the notice in May of 2019 and had them replaced at no cost to me. Not sure if this helps.

They replaced mine 5 years AFTER the warranty expired.
Mine was a recall, because a failure could puncture the fuel tank.

The TSB prior to the recall was for hash ride. (Basically the springs were weak)
The TSB was only good while under warranty.

If your 2011 was built AFTER October of 2011 it does not fall under the recall.
See the link below for more details, and how to determine if you have the correct springs.
