Having purchased my first Tacoma, a 2019 TRD PRO, I am considering a wheel and tire upgrade.

Any recommendations on the max wheel and tire size without any other modifications?

I might be adding a slight lift in the near future, but would like to change the wheels now. I would like to go to a 17x9 Fuel Covert D696 wheel.

stock height you can run 275s on your truck, if you went with a Westcott Designs Fox Pro collar kit or something similar for your truck, you could gain a little height and run a 285/70R17 or 285/75R16 (both 33x11.5in) with the stock offset without any rubbing issues. if you go to a 17x9 or 17x8.5 aftermarket wheel, keep the offset between 0mm and +15mm to avoid rubbing

I appreciate the info. I don't want to totally kill the gas mileage so I was considering the Fuel Covert D696 17x9 +1 offset and a 275/70R17 and leaving the current height and suspension.
