Nothing about the front end has changed except for grilles and headlights from 2016 to 2021. Almost nothing besides tech has changed across all 3rd gen tacomas.

When I was shopping for our truck back in August, I noticed the local dealer I was buying from had several "loaded" 2020's stickered at $45-$47K. Our last new vehicle was bought in 2009...a Jeep Liberty, nicely optioned 2wd vehicle, about $24K. I was shocked that vehicles have gone up 40-50 percent in 10 years. Maybe I need to get out more or learn about inflation and all the new high tech stuff available.

The truck doesn’t really cost more, your money just isn’t worth as much. Toyota depreciation is far less than $ depreciation!

Ive noticed a trend recently that confuses me. Lots of equipment mounting posts lately, but I keep seeing the heavier items mounted on the driver’s side and the lighter items on the passenger side. Don’t increase the taco lean.

Was considering posting my 25k miles 2016 Sport on craigslist. Then I looked and there are 5-6 3rd gen already listed locally. Not used to seeing so many 3rd gens there.

The husky ones are much better they go further up in the floor. The only thing i didnt like was if u have a manual transmission the clutch hits the footrest , after driving it though the matt settles in.

same, but I ended up getting an auto since my wife can drive it. Gonna need surgery this year and She will have to drive around post, for food and supplies. She blew my clutch in my 83 22R trying to teach her how to drive a stick. so yeah no more manuals for me at least. But i guess it serves as a theft protective from the wife lol

What did you end up getting? It looks clean. 35% windshield, 20% front and 5% in the rear?

It looks like you have your tent exit on one side of your vehicle and the awning on the opposite side. Has that worked out well? I have the same tent but did the 6' awning so they would both be on the same side....maybe I need to rethink this plan.

I like it -- it all depends on how you want your camp set up. I could probably get away with the awning on the same side as the tent entry/exit if I had a 5-6 ft awning, but with the 8-ft, it wouldn't work.

I'd be lying if I said this happened today but it did happen in the past week! Cap-It Bulldog HR, their house brand canopy in a high rise configuration. Paint match is decent enough, price was decent, quality looks good, has an overlay for the tailgate spoiler. The rear hatch is slightly misaligned but it's not something I feel I need to see Cap-It to fix, I can easily put a small piece of weather stripping down to avoid any water leaks. However I will not be able to check if it's leaking any water until spring now that we've had our first winter storm (silicon sealing will likely happen in the spring as well). Measurements as follows in centimeters and inches:

    Rise after cab: 109cm/43"
    Back end height: 119cm/47"
    Door clearance: 107cm/42.5"
    Tall windows: 48cm/19"
