How to Remove Mirror Cover on 2013 Tacoma?

Yep! I used plastic trim tools to release the plastic tabs. Just pried around the circumference of the cover until all tabs were released. I can take pictures of the tabs on the inside so you can get an idea of where they are.

 

What tools did you use? I bought the color matched covers already but am trying to figure out how to get the old ones off. ‍

Here's a pic from when I replaced mine. You can get an idea of where the tabs clip in. I have my old cover in the garage. I can snap a pic of of the inside of that as well if you need.
