Hi, Everyone. I'm shopping for new tires to go on my 2017 Tacoma Sport. I've decided to go a little bigger from 265/65/R17 to 265/70/R17 but trying to make a final decision on which tire to get. The truck mainly lives on pavement but I'm in Virginia and sometimes we can get considerable snow. I also go a few times per year down to my family's place in SW Va where it's a lot of non paved roadways and trails. For the last many years I've only purchased Michelin LTX's, but now considering something different with possibly a little more aggressive look. My top choices from my research have been Nitto Terra Grapler G2's, BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A K02, and obviously the tried and true Michelin Defender LTX MS. Do any of you have experience with a similar situation? Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tim

I have been running BFG AT K02's on my 2008 Tacoma for a decade and I have had nothing but good experiences with them. They get pounded pretty hard on British Columbia logging road for thousands of miles a year and I have only had a single failure, which was caused by a pin that punctured the tread and damaged the side wall. All part of driving on logging roads. They are not the quietest tire on the road but I suspect if you are looking for a tire with an aggressive tread pattern that is not very important to you. They are a bit on the expensive side but they seem to last through a combination of off road and highway driving. Mine are the standard 265/65/R17 and obviously I don't have any issues with wheel rub.

I put bfg all terrains 265 75 16 on my 2016 off road. Most of my driving is on paved roads but they look awesome and ride good so far.
