If my TWSS sees this, I'm definitely set on flashlights and recovery gear.

As most here I'm into camping, outdoors, hunting, fishing, etc. I have 2 pups but please no edible treats, my plott hound is allergic to animal protein. I do some large type woodworking, nothing extreme just easy dog beds, tables, etc.
I have a RC crawler (SCX10II Honcho) I just got into. Looking to replicate it close to my truck

Looking forward to another holiday season!

    Good morning!
Time for me to stop procrastinating and write this.

Do you make anything? Do you have a hobby turning old files into knives? I'm a sucker for those kinds of projects and love the creativity of others.

My truck is pretty well outfitted at the moment, but I'm lacking in my organization and camping. I'm also in the process of building a trailer for my roof top tent (so anything to turn the trailer into a "home" would be nice).

I love to cook, but I'm currently working out of an action packer box. I'd love to have something to organize my cooking stuff.
I've seen a lot of options online, so maybe something like one of these:
    Cooking kit bag - https://www.blueridgeoverlandgear.com/collections/cooking/products/cooking-kit-bag
    Another one - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Y419V4T/
    Or anything else you see.

My winch also sees a lot of use, so replacing/upgrading the line would be nice.
    3/8"x100' with thimble
    https://www.treatyoakoffroad.com/product/too-winch-line
Or winch line-extension, for those hard to winch places.

I also like local craft beer - IPA's and stouts/porters/anything out of a barrel.

    edit:
I could also use one of those Decked cross boxes and drawerganizers.

    Dear secret Santa,

I'm a pretty simple and laid back dude. Honestly will be grateful with whatever I receive. Some simple things you could send me are patches for the truck. If you wanna send me beer that would be solid too lol. A shirt or hat from your favorite company.. Some of my hobbies include fishing, camping, video games, photography/video editing, and the never ending wrenching on my taco. Now if money is no object for my secret Santa heres some things that would be on my dream list lol.

    Truck stuff

    Any sort of recovery gear

Also self teaching myself to do metal fab so something I could use is a band saw.

Also been looking at getting into rc crawlers

This is my first year doing the TWSS so not sure how this will turn out but if you're my secret Santa, I like the idea of another member to make a donation in my name to your local (or mine) children’s hospital or domestic abuse shelter in my name.
    If you rather send gifts
    • Truck stuff you think is cool or would want for your truck but have been hesitating on buying :D
    • Food/drinks your local area is known for
    Thank you!

Been putting this off, some info. Started a tool collection (dewalt) could use a good digital inflater. My new garage/shop is slowly coming together.

    Dear TWSS,

I'll give you a little background so you have an easier time thinking of something. I'm married with a 4 year old daughter and am an active duty submariner currently stationed in Saratoga Springs, NY, but I grew up in the Florida Keys and have lived in Jacksonville, FL, Charleston, SC and Bangor, WA. Things I enjoy are spending time with my family, camping, working on my truck, beer(IPA's, Porters, Stouts, nothing barrel aged), coffee and collecting patches(patriotic, toyota/tacoma, nautical). I prefer local or well made items that I can rely on over cheap chinese junk.
    Some gift ideas:
    -local craft beer/coffee
-edc pocket knife, something easy to maintain and dependable, ETA-just purchased a benchmade bugout so maybe a sturdy fixed blade camping knife instead. Something like an ESEE-6.
-a tool roll, I have the tools just need a way to organize them in the truck
-a duffel or similar bag for my recovery gear
    -ratchet wrench set
-something from your local town, state or a cool small business

Thanks, looking forward to another great TWSS year

This is my 3rd year participating in the Tacoma World Secret Santa. It’s been awesome each year. I had a 2003 Tacoma but totaled it a couple of weeks ago so....no truck parts for now lol.

I have a Milwaukee tool collection so anything to add to the collection would be nice.

Anything Toyota...like merchandise or Toyota t-shirts (I wear XL) or posters stuff like that.

I love beer too but who doesn’t lol.

    Thanks again Santa

We (my wife and I) very much look forward to this event every year! I don't put together much of a wish list, however, typically make the request that my wife gets considered in the process. We do the "stalking" of our recipient together and she puts thought into the gifts we send along. The last two years our "Santas" nailed it with his and hers gifts!

Things we enjoy: spending time outdoors with our 3 year old black lab mix Charlotte doing just about anything; road trips and quiet weekends at home or camp. If clothing is involved she wears a mens XL (womens XXL) and I typically wear a mens XXL. I have started using molle pouches of various sizes and we do have a new addition to the vehicle family, a 2021 Highlander Hybrid XLE.

Looking forward to the creativity and fun again this holiday season!

Finally for the first time, I joined TWSS. I've crept around in the past and thought it looked fun but always forgot to sign up! This year I remembered and stoked to be apart of this. This year has been an absolute downer all around and I hope to bring a little joy to some one by participating. With that said here's a few tips for my SS.

    Things I enjoy -
Finding ways to make my 2WD more off-road capable, anything Tacoma related and building my camping gear arsenal. Tools, patches, stickers, I'm a huge horror fan, I like custom art and a huge Padres (Baseball) fan. I'm into metal/punk/rock/reggae music. I wear Large and I also don't drink or smoke anymore. That's just a few things that come to mind. I'm sure there are helpful hints in my build page and Amazon wish list as well.

    https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3GTM1B9OBXQ44?ref_=wl_share

    Hope this helps :)

    What's up TWSS?

This will be my 2nd year participating in this, and enjoyed it a lot last year. Ths year goes about the same for me regarding a "wishlist". I've got a 4 year old son who loves my truck and anything with wheels. My wife is one who buys what she wants (lord help us), but I can say she is a fan of coffees and wines. The sweeter the better for her on both. We have a baby girl joining the family in April, so me and my boy will be getting out and camping a lot more- because hes getting older, but also to get out of the house when we can. ;)

As for me, I have everything set as far as camp kitchen goes, but always enjoy new camping equipment and gadgets. I'm an App State alum who just bought a 2006 4runner, so being that its my new project, it will be another tailgate and NC mountain toy. So anything for that would be great as well.

I'm a laid back, easy going kind of guy who enjoys life. Patches, hoodies, bourbons, and good times is what I look for. I enjoy trying new foods or beers. Honestly, I look forward to whatever it is that's sent, so surprise me.

Edit- adding some more info and ideas:
-I wear size XL in shirts/hoodies
-Recovery gear is always useful (soft shackles, etc.)
-2013 Baja Tacoma is my toy/ 2006 4runner is my project :) - so anything for either of those is appreciated

Merry Christmas to my secret santa.

With the difficult year so many have had, I am just thankful to still be working with all my bills paid and low stress in that regard. If you wanted to pay it forward I am a fan of anonymous ToysforTots and Make a Wish, I feel these two organizations can do more meaningful impact than I could.

I work as an engineer and started occasional part time work as a handyman when my day job went temporarily part time this summer. I have a pretty sparse list of needs.
My family badgers me for a christmas list annually, so I intentionally made a short list of spare tools to outfit the new handyman dedicated toolbelt to put what I borrowed back in the main toolbox.
Gerber strongarm knife / Speed square(swanson)/Estwing nail puller/Flat pry bar/Erwin bit extensions/Milwaukee or good torx & square drives/Milwaukee trim square/Tajima dura chalk box/Sperry gfi receptacle tester/7.25 diablo saw blade
If you are a baller, just about anything from Martinez tool would be an upgrade of my current gear but totally unnecessary for a part time gig lol.

Here are a few random things I need:
Old school Jerry Can round gas cap gaskets. Just the gaskets
06 taco 4.0 manual trans foot rest. The foot rest to the left of the clutch.
1987 toyota manual trans/transfer case shifter boot. Currently has blue "leather".... Rubber, black or blue "leather" would look good
Apricot Whiskey, Apricot bbq sauce, apricot anything...

Here's an Amazon list, it's mostly tools. I after awhile of making it work with tools I had on hand, I finally bought a big ass toolbox and am stocking it up. If you see anything not on the list that you've found is extremely helpful while wrenching, that would be killer too. I love local stuff such as beers or meat rubs. Size L t shirt. Of course feel free to stalk around here as well or wander into The Lair and PM one of the regulars for ideas.

Sorry Santa, I haven’t been super active on the forums this year. However, hopefully this is helpful.

I like tshirts, athletic fit preferably because I’m lanky. L shirts, 32/32 pants if you head that route for whatever reason.
I like knives, and own some things that go bang and toss 9mm, 5.56, and 300 blackout if you happen across any of those and want to share the love in these scarce times.
Tools are always appreciated, I have everything I need in the garage but am working on putting together some tool rolls (already have the rolls, just need tools to fill them) to keep in my 4runner.
I currently live in Tennessee but am moving to Salt Lake City early next year, so anything that you think would help the move or help me get acclimated to the cold and snow would be cool too.
    As always, I’ll appreciate anything.

Dear Santa - I've been a good boy this year

My wife and I welcomed our first child, my son, to the world back in May and that has basically consumed us for the last 6 months. Luckily my love of Monster and Reign energy drinks has helped with this.

I'm a gym-rat with a pretty nice home gym that I spend any of my free time in. I love pins and patches to add to my collection in the ceiling of the Taco and I love stickers to stick on the Taco or somewhere in my gym. I also love t-shirts and tank tops (size medium) with cool logos or pun-related fitness designs (see flex comics). I also love Funkos and have them scattered all over my home office. We are big NC State Football and Basketball fans and love all things Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. My wife and I are also both addicted to Pokemon Go and spend a lot of time out and about trying to catch them all :goingcrazy:

Some random 'wish lists' items if that's easier :santa2:

    Stocking Stuffers:
Funko - John McClane (Die Hard)
    Funko - Shazam
Funko - Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher)

    Middle of the mall:
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 (XBOX One)
    Pso-Rite Psoas Muscle Release Tool

    If you're feeling generous:
    Sonos Move
    Theragun Prime

I'm an easy giftee and will be happy with anything! Just happy to be able to participate another year :santa:

Joined up at the tail end, might as well be late to this thread.

This is my first year joining TWSS and I'm looking forward to being part of the fun. I'm in my mid-30s, no wife or kids, just me an an older dog. Like many have already said: If there is something you've made, a cool thing from your local area, or something generally just find interesting, I'm sure it will be fantastic.

If you still want some ideas:
    • Wool socks (Darn Tough and Red Wings are fantastic. I wear a size 11 shoe), medium t-shirts, or large long-sleeves. Not really a hat guy.
    • Recovery gear of any sort. What little I have is pretty basic, so anything would be greatly appreciated.
    • Tools/tool roll. Have a decent garage setup, but need to put something together for the truck.
    • Lego
    • If you get something for my dog, she's pretty gentle and can be wary of loud squeaky toys
    • Beer is always a welcome thing, especially of the local variety. The maltier/heavier the better, not really into hoppy stuff.
    • Still figuring out if/what I want to mess with on the truck.
That's probably enough to get you going, no need to stick to this list either. Have fun, and happy holidays!

Merry Xmas to all involved in this. This is my 4th year for TWSS. I'll try to update this more.

Anything local to you, like local made crafts, beer, whiskey, hot sauce, cook book, etc.

    XL shirt size

    EDC knives are a fave.
    Recovery Shackles soft or hard
    Recovery rope or strap

Do a little lurking & enjoy the holidays

I have no idea what I want or need :anonymous:, but I like to BBQ and cook with fire. My truck is pretty good and can't think of anything reasonable to add to it.

To my SS, just be creative and I'll be pleased.
