Long story short, moved from CA to CO on a 40 acre ranch last month. My 2019 Tacoma TRD PRO seemed decent at sea level and now at 7,000’ not so much. It’s a dog as we all know, but now more than ever. Sure I could do the OV tune but I’m thinking I’ll need a 6’ bed and more power for around the ranch. I love the taco a lot. It’s paid for so that’s nice. I’m debating on a new Silverado Trail Boss 6.2 because I may end up towing a horse trailer. I’ve also debated buying a late 60’s C10 for said horse trailer and ranch work. I commute to LA on weekends and have been borrowing my fathers Ram 5.7 HEMI. The power is amazing but parking is a bitch. I’m torn. Someone shove me in the right direction.

There is no right direction man. Full size is better except for parking and gas mileage.
Taco is better except for towing and heavy duty loads.
I traded for a Tundra because I can park and can live with the mpg because the Taco can't do what the Tundra does as far as power and towing.
So Tundra can do what the Taco does but Taco can't do what the Tundra does even with mods.

Enough where you have to drive half way across the country and back every week.

So, where were we when you decided to buy the 40 acre lot? We could have helped you make that decision. And now you wand help with a late 60's truck?

It’s not a lot, there’s a 3300sq ft house on it with a loafing shed and barn! And I get to have toys!

That’s funny I’ve heard that from a lot of my friends but not sure my 4/7 year old boys are ready for that. We have my wife’s horse, 2 goats and now maybe another horse and donkey coming soon.

If I drove in CO I wouldn't mess around with part time 4x4.

Have to get something full time.

Tundra is a great truck but some of the narrow trails may present a challenge to the Tundra's wider body.
