After 1,500 miles since new I ran the tank down and filled up with 87 octane non-ethanol. It was only $0.35 per gallon more. After a day of usage I know I have more power. Hesitation is gone when accelerating. I also know gas mileage will be better but that is hard to do a controlled test on to give a number. I used to run 93 octane in a Lexus 460. Tried non-ethanol in it and it ran like a scalded dog. I’m sure this topic has been beat up on here just giving my $0.02. For $0.35 more per gallon I will go this route.

Higher energy density for the non-ethanol.

I have had the same experience and better MPG vs corn gas.

I have been using 91 Octane non-ethanol in my Tacomas for several years. Higher cost is offset by better mpg and reduction of fuel stops.

I also use the non-ethanol fuel 89 octane. The truck just runs better overall, in addition to about 1 1/2mpg increase in fuel mileage.

    E0 is always better.

E anything is government quackery to reduce fuel use, yet MPG drops and energy is required to grow and process the corn.

Ethanol additive for fuel is one of the biggest jokes ever played on the American people.

Do the math and it's a wash. Pay more, get a tiny bit of power and a bit better mpg.

Much better for the fuel delivery system though, and will pay off long term. Besides the BTU density, ethanol, by it's molecular makeup, absorbs H20 and is more corrosive to the system.

Non Ethanol 89 @1.89 gal because my Taco clocks 2k a year and E10+ loses octane FAST and burning water causes P0442
