That was my dream truck the majority of my life... I still kind of want one but I'd probably pick up a 460 one and swap it

Yeah the PO decided it would be a good idea to bed line basically everything except the bed. Hood, roof, chrome trim on the side, rocker panels, etc

Part of me wishes I just found a used 7.3 motor to rebuild in the garage, and then when it was ready find a clean truck that needs one. Part of me will always worry about the internals until I finally blow something haha

Not pawn shops but I called the toyota yards to see if the bed or topper was sold to them.

    THANKS!

Eh. The tacoma is still a viable option for the day the Ford decides to call it quits and needs rebuilt. I really don't expect that to happen, but I should get a compression test done just to see how shes running

Do you need the serial number of the Snugtop XTR or do you have that in your notes?

Migrated from Trading Post (cause I have a self interest in that thread staying clear so I can sell some crap)...

Death Valley is definitely worth it over 4 corners tourist trap. Maybe even more than Mesa Verde (since it's easier to go there on a weekend from the Front Range vs Death Valley).

Hell, I'd skip all those stops and days in Moab if it would allow for time in DV.

In my opinion, Bryce Canyon is way cooler in the winter with the contrast you get with the snow vs the red rock. Summertime has a lack of contrast there.

Zion may be cold and wet. I rented a dry suit and hiked the narrows anyway and it was fun but the girlfriend was slightly unhappy with being cold.

FYI - Grand Canyon may just be a stop to look since most of the facilities are closed in the winter and you likely won't be hiking down to the bottom.

for sure! We are on a time constraint due to work, cant take too much time off and since its the end of the year, not much vacation left in the bank. I am trying to hit all the national parks before i die to and this trip would knock off 5-6.

I 100% agree! Death Valley is amazing and I personally would rather spend my time there then MOAB or Arches. Although, Canyonlands is rad too.

4 corners sucks and was closed due to COVID when i passed it with no intention to stop in Sept.

Bryce Canyon is awesome in the winter. You can see a short video on my instagram from last winter.

Capitol Reef is slept on and I am glad because I really like this place and the lack of crowds so dont tell the instalanders or van lifers about it.

If you go to the North Rim then send me a DM and ill send you a trail to run that takes you to the rim.
