Hey everyone, I’m new to the forum and have a question. I’m looking a sets of the TRD pro sema style wheels. I’m baffled on the offset stuff and everywhere I look seems to give me different answers. The set I looked at were a +15 17x8 wheel. Is that going to push me out past the fenders more than my stock TRD sport wheels. I also looked at a +5 set. Thanks for your help and patience.

The real ones are 17x7 not 17x8

The +15 would poke less than the +5 offset or do I have that backwards?

I believe you have that backwards. I went from 2nd gen trd sport wheels 17x7.5 (+30) to the SEMA wheels 17x7 +4 and the tires now push out pass the fenders just a hair. Looks good without being obnoxious.

Right on. Suppose I’ll go with the +5’s then. I want them to push out some but not be super ridiculous. They’re 17x8 so I’m getting a little extra rim width anyhow.

I checked discount tire out. I guess my thing is what people think looks better on Tacomas. Just trying to get a little input. It’s tough to decide when you can’t really see it. So, thought I’d ask folks here because I’m sure some run +5 or +15 or whatever. I appreciate everyone’s responses.

I prefer to consider function over looks. Looks are important as a secondary feature, but not the driving force on a functional part decision

I don't like any poke at all, mostly because of the mess they make on the side of the vehicle.

Then again, I'm the guy driving the 2wd 5 lug because it does everything I want it too. So I'm an outlier all around. :anonymous:
