Yup if you get a JustDSM tune, he puts my latest public trans tune (standard tune) on his tunes. If you want something different than the one you have on there, or i have updated to a new version of the standard public trans tune feel free to hit me up and i can make changes.

I definitely noticed a bit more zest from v12 to v14. Nice work!

So from those of you that tweak your tunes.... What are some areas you have adjusted? Do you use your datalogs to address issues (knock)? 6sp so my life is slightly less complicated.

I was watching this thread for a long time and finally asked @JustDSM to help me out, and I love it. @nd4spdbh your transmission file is awesome. My heavy truck doesn’t feel like such a slug now. Just went for a short test drive and loved the improvements.

Sounds like you’ve got all the bolt on NA goods there are! Nice, I’m sure that tune really ties it all together. Would be curious how much you’ve gained over stock

It definitely feels like it brought everything to life. It even started better, for the last couple of years it did a quick stutter at cold startup and I couldn’t figure out why, but it’s gone now.

For you NA guys, are you all running super unleaded (91 octane) now and is it required? And is there a ready file for the 3* cam gears and exhaust?

No ( 91 octane ) is not required. You can tune your truck to your liking. I run 91 on my ( 87 octane ) tune. Every truck is slightly different so there is no cookie cutter tune. Hit up @JustDSM for a tune tailored to your specific liking.

@JustDSM are there any tweaks that can be had on your engine tune with the 3° cams?

Also I'm working on a v15 of the trans tune with hopes for 2 things, 1 some low throttle input changes to reduce gear hunting and 2 hopeful changes to reduce 4th gear hang

Good to know, I’m in So.Cal too. Cali gas is the most expensive and it’s terrible for performance. What file are you running and are you happy with the results?
