I don't have any problems with mine, but emailed them as well to see when they can get to me. Prob a bit of a wait, but would be nice to get upgraded for a piece of mind.

I’m hoping mine will have the new hinges. Haven’t gotten a sealant curing email so I can only assume.

Mike was in Reno today on there warranty thing. Hinges feel pretty bomb proof. It’s now easy to slide off the rear hatch to shuttle Mtb’s.

Did some mods for the GFC. Ordered a Duluth seat back bunker for some better organization of stuff we always take camping. With the new orientation of my spare tire to utilize the organizer I had to remove the fridge handles to fit it where I want. Swapped them out for some straps made out of maxtrax straps I had laying around and it works great. Wish I would have bought this a lot sooner. Should drop us down to bringing only one Plano box for dry goods and kitchen stuff.

Also swapped out the factory foam cushions for my Exped megamat. Drilled some 1” holes into the two squares that are normally inside a mattress cover. Requires a little more breakdown time by having to fold over and compress the mattress for about 30 seconds. Otherwise the mattress will push out the tent material when you’re trying to close it. But imo it’s worth it for a comfortable nights sleep!

I've been considering going Exped as well. I may just try one on top to see how I like it before I pull all the cushions out.

    Yep
What's the reason for the holes?

    Yep
Do you just remove the cap on the end of the hinge and then slide off?

Just keep in mind that you won’t be able to close the tent with the exped still in there with the factory cushions.
With the 2 white plastic panels removed from the mattress covers you have no way to grab and move them when you’re up in the tent with all of the panels in place. The mattress covers have straps on two ends, but without them you have no way to easily maneuver those 2 panels.

Yes. I find the 3" cushions to be a bit 'firm' for my taste.

Agreed. There are two different foam stiffness levels on each side of the cushions, and even with the softer foam being on top it feels like sleeping on a board to me.

Yes, but pay attention to the orientation for when you put it back together
