I have a couple friends with PC and they are all quite happy with the product.
I have 2 friends that went from PC to OV and they both have said they won't go back to PC
I have no friends that went from PC to OV then have gone back to PC
PC seems like it is a great product and has it's place but to me OV is PC+ a TON more that you'll notice every single drive. Yes, Toyota can void certain parts of your warranty if they find OV on your truck but they will do that with PC too. Toyota can't see the tune. I've taken the truck in more than once with the tune installed and nothing has ever been said. You can always flash back to stock if you want though, takes about 2 minutes. I won't say that no one has got caught with a tune on their truck by Toyota cause I don't have that info but I'm fairly certain that with all the crybabies on this forum and people concerned about warranties and disclaimers and stuff that if someone did get caught, the very first people that would hear about it would be the forums with a big ol fat post about how having OV installed screwed them outta their warranty. You can't find a single post about that anywhere or how OVs disclaimer screwed anyone either.
Personally, I'd do OV but it appears people who are only looking for improved pedal feel and nothing more in regards to driveability, gas mileage and a little bit of performance are quite happy with PC. All depends on what you're looking for.

ran sb by itself; ran ovt by itself. i wanted the best of both worlds and stacked sb with ovt and havent looked back since. sb is still pretty nice if you never intend to get ovt.

@GrundleJuice: i can adjust things on the fly in real time. no need to pull out the laptop and mess with parameters with every little intricacy.

    Ok. Again, butwhy.gif

Adjusting throttle sensitivity on the fly sounds worse than not adjusting it at all. Now your pedal is more sensitive, now it's less, now it's more again.

@GrundleJuice many different reasons. say you have a significant other that drives the vehicle. youre not gonna carry your laptop with you, wait for vf tune to boot up, adjust the parameters, flash the truck, wait, let them drive with the updated throttle adjustment, then reverse the process when youre ready to have your razor sharp throttle response again. same thing with wheeling. you think you want to have an ultra sensitive throttle when trying to modulate over rough terrain. eff that. sb alleviates all that and you can do it on the fly. for me personally i just didnt like going into vftune everytime i wanted to mess with the throttle. sb does all that on the fly. its not that im always adjusting it, i think youre looking way too into it, its the option being readily available to me if i want it to be. before ovt i ran the sb on sport9. with the truck running 92 prem sfob (which is the enhanced throttle map) i still run the sb on sport9.

I don’t recommend PC. I’ve had it for around 6 months. For a while I ran it in ECO to test for any mpg improvements and now in City mode. No change in mpg but clearly the ECO seriously decrease throttle response.....but for nothing. The app is super finicky as well.
On the plus side, the Sport mode really packs a punch and I’ve had zero electrical issues

I'm running a PC and it has woken up the truck tremendously, especially off the line. Mine is bluetooth, so I have it ziptied underneath the dash and just use the app if I want to adjust the sensitivity. I would like a tune also, but can't get myself to pay for it.

I just realized the tune is unavailable to 2nd Gen's right now, so I guess I'll be sticking with PC.

I had a sprint booster in a Mini Cooper - or - at least I tired to. It never worked - and I don’t mean that in the sense that the performance didn’t increase. It simply didn’t work. Neither did the replacement unit. It caused the car to throw all kinds of codes that it hadn’t prior to installing it. They were never able to resolve it.

Fair enough, personal preference and all. I just keep the throttle stock and press the pedal further when I want more power.

    working on it!
I have a 2020 TRD Pro and am comfortable with the throttle response. Why not drive it for a while before spending $$$?

Don't get me wrong, I like being able to fine tune my throttle response, but I have other mods taking priority.
