Anyone have Google Fi that doesn't have a Google phone? I've had Fi for several years now. One of the greatest parts about it is that Android is not the same as Android. Without all the bloat ware from Verizon or TMobile, etc, Android seems much cleaner.

Now that Fi is selling Samsung phones directly, do they have the same experience or do they come with a bunch of bloat ware?

    Bump.

I have a Google phone (Pixel 5a) but am interested in switching from Verizon to Google Fi...the initial post in this thread was almost two years ago, anyone have more to offer on the subject?

I’ve had Google Fi for a few years. Originally switched to it because we were spending an extended time out of the country. Worked awesome for txting, data, and free Wi-Fi calling internationally. Right now it’s 120 a month for 2 of us, basically unlimited everything. I’ve had no major issues, everything is done online, quick and easy. With T-Mobile and AT&T, I can’t think of the amount of time I spent in stores dealing with phones and issues.

I've been in Google Fi since it was first announced as Project Fi.

I am satisfied with Fi service (I mean really it's not their network they're buying bandwidth from existing carriers) but I absolutely hate my garage ass piece of fucking crap phone that is my Pixel 5G.

My Pixel 2XL was my favorite phone, the 3 and 4 weren't even worth considering, the 5 was a level of compromises I thought I was willing to accept but it's just garbage.

    Mostly due to Android 12.

What a fucking shit show, A12 and the last several Android phones have effectively proven Google doesn't give three shits about either anymore.

Funny you post this thread as I was wondering the same thing, I'm about one more software glitch from seeing if this phone will blend and going to an Apple phone on GFi and after my 4S I swore I'd never own another Apple products but got an Ipad last year that I like to face time with family and friends across the globe and it seems alright, now that Jobs doesn't have his greedy little proprietary fingers on Apple's pulse.

Only thing really holding me up from going apple is I want USB C not thunder lighting spade cable or the fuck ever.

    /End rant.

Every once in a while I stumble across one of your posts and it just cracks me up, and literally, laugh out loud. Clear on point, literate, eloquent and crude all at the same time. Keep it up!
