    You guys rock

I will be doing it next weekend with my dad, hope this does the trick. I’ll let you guys know. After I fix it, is there any other potential problems I might have with the lift?

    Hey Guys @tgelata @tacoma16 @llamasmurf

    hoping to get some advice

Went to Toyota last night to get some differential oil for my project to replace needle bearing, same place I took my truck complaining of noise. The parts manger who I have come to know and trust over the last few years went to double check on what type of gear oil I needed. After checking into some things he pulled me aside and said that several 2018 & 2019 models had problems with noise/vibration on the front end and had the entire front carrier replaced under warranty. (not sure what that is) He advised that my truck according to the vin has the same part number as the ones having the problem. He is going to look into having this covered under warranty and is going to get back to me. (lift may be a problem with warranty)

Option #1: if they cover this under warranty should I just get this done and see if it fixes the problem or just do the needle bearing replacement like I was going to

    or

Option #2: Should I just wash my hands trade in and get stock again........ I was offered $38,000 trade in for my truck from another Toyota dealership

Im assuming the front carrier is the diff?
Id let them warranty it first cause well free parts and it’ll be replacing the needle bearing anyways. You still might need to do the ecgs bushing but this would just delay having to do it

plus there could be more going on if toyota thinks its worth it to swap the whole diff under warranty

Cant speak for trade in because it would still be the same truck just stock
Unless you wanted to get a different cab/bed length

    Tyler

The cab /bed length would make a difference in the truck?

Sorry i more meant trim level lol. the 2021’s have some more tech packages but as far as ive looked into it the same truck mechanically as what you have now

but an access cab long bed and a double cab short bed have a shorter wheel base than a double cab long bed. Thats about it. (Fyi)

so unless u want something different than what you have now its not worth trading in IMO

My dealership never mentioned my 'lift' at all. If its under 3" it should not be a problem.

Get that warranty goodness if you can  Might just solve the issue.

As mentioned go for the warranty, sometimes if the financing is better it may be worth it, but you’ll be getting a stock truck so what ever you have put into the current truck is gone.

Also as Tyler said, the trim level on the trade. Of your trading your truck in for a lower trim level, is that okay with you? just comes done to what you have vs what you can get and if it’s worth it.

    Hi Peter

you are right I have done a lot of stuff already, lift, rails, front window tint, pro grill, tonneau cover, decals,

still haven't heard from guy at Toyota, called left message ... don't want to do ECGS bearing yet in case they do warranty work and my ECGS gets taken out with new parts lol, as I know I will replace anyways once warranty work is hopefully done.
