2020 TRD Sport with factory tonneau cover. I noticed last week that one of the 4 bump stops was missing, not sure for how long or if it was even there when I picked it up new. I called Toyota looking for the part and was willing to buy it but was told $68 and it is not even available. Looks like it should be only a $1 or 2 but tried two dealers with no luck. Anyone else have this issue?796588C5-C87C-4337-A1B0-D8C3972A9D21.jpg

Reason I sold my OEM cover off my 17 and 20 ASAP, they are garbage, the plastic will fade over time, the seals all crack or snap off and pieces rattle loose and its a gazillion little pieces and each cost a ton and have to be ordered, hate being that guy but unless your really love it I would sell it and grab an aftermarket cover.

Unlikely, my 2020 within a week had 2 plastic pieces missing and some weird discoloration in one spot, ended up selling it.

I noticed it at 15k miles so no longer under bumper to bumper warranty. They said they wouldn’t cover it even if they could get the part. Unsettling part is that they can’t even order it.

My truck is almost 3 years old, garaged kept, detailed every week, not one issue with my oem cover. I think they look the best too. I'm sure there are better cover but its just something about the oem cover I like. Maybe its the fit and finish, I dont know but happy with mine and my son's truck stays outside and his cover looks new as well. Granted we take care of our vehicles so maybe that helps too.

You have a perfect scenario to test the longevity of the cover with the garaged unit being the control group.

It would make a good write up someday.
