Winter rubber & 17" black steelies: paint rear center hubs?

    I just got my winter rubber mounted on the taco. They gave me these steelies at the dealer. They are a bit different then the standard n-hole ones you see. I wasn't sure ide like them but on the truck I think it looks like a mean snow machine.

    I definitely need to try to match the rear bare metal center hub to the front dust cover. Should I paint? Can I just buy dust covers like on the front? I think painting might go a long way to reduce rusting.

    Nice! Are they 16"? Dealer said that the 16s are silver and the 17s are black. That might be a local thing. I'm in Canada

    Black RTV adhesive seems to be the world's most guarded secret. It holds strong, but you can remove it with a little effort.

    Might be a good option. Hard to believe the dust caps are around $20 each.

    I wonder if just spraying some black rust check on them will make the hubs stand out less.

    Those are 17” Sport spare wheels.

    If there are notches around the center bore you can run OEM FJ caps or SR5 centers, if not continue what you were going to do with Post #4.
