I've always wanted a pickup truck and at 55 years old I finally did it! My kids think I've lost it!

So glad I found this forum because I have so many questions. I've always wanted a pickup truck and at 55 years old I finally did it! Not gonna lie, as a female, shopping for a truck had a few challenges but I did my research and got the truck and the deal I wanted. I was surprised that in 2021 we still have salesmen that don't know how to deal with women who are shopping without their husbands and actually know what they want. At the third dealership I went to I found a great young salesman and bought the 2021 tacoma SR I wanted. I have a million questions and look forward to learning from everyone here.

Welcome aboard! Sorry to hear it took you 3 dealerships to find one with to find a proper salesman but sadly not surprised. This place is a great source of information and folks willing to help spend your money.

Just tell the kids you’re just starting to spend their inheritance. The more they complain the faster you’ll spend it.

Welcome to TW. I'm close in age and love my Tacoma too. I've had a few jeeps but enjoy the truck a lot more. They're a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy yours as well.

Four years ago we decided the Tacoma was just too small and we really needed a bigger truck. But at the same time it was too good to trade in plus my wife really wanted it. She loves it, but wouldn't want to drive a full size truck. It has been great for her and since she started driving a truck 2 other ladies in our community decided a small truck made sense for them too. They both ended up with a Nissan Frontier, but trucks aren't just for guys. Congratulations.
