That sounds no friend I’d want to do any work for me. THHN in PVC or metal conduit. Or MC cable with anti short bushings as mentioned above. Exposed Romex in a garage is a no no. Let alone shoved in a metal box with no bushing.

First of all thank you to @6 gearT444E for the heads up.

I wanted to say that after learning how to add outlets myself, I now realize what was so wrong with the old outlets.

The before photos - I knew it looked sketchy but I didn’t realize how sketch

    from the ceiling

Center outlet had all the wire tied into it

    Made a trip to HD

    7CC07892-BCA7-4971-A56E-6856E4C017C4.jpg

    - wayyyy better than Lowes. Better prices and they actually had everything, unlike Lowes where we went for a simple 90 since we decided to add an extra outlet and they had no inventory for anything we would have needed

So turned the breaker off and started tearing the sketch out. Found out the outlets in the metal box weren’t even taped. This is the hot side exposed. Also they weren’t anchored to the walls properly

Added another outlet towards the garage door for things like the pressure washer and shop Vac

I’m very grateful to have some friends that know what they are doing, and take a day to show me how to do it! So I learned how to run conduit, fish wires, and a bunch of other stuff. Overall the first attempt that was done wasn’t just lazy, but downright dangerous.

I could! that wasn't on my radar just yet as shipping larger items is still a cumbersome process for me.

Do you want me to make some for you?

In other news I've finally decided to just pay the truck off.

Thats awesome news! I thought it was already done :spy:

As for the caps, these are some older Relentless style ones that I would be interested in. Hopefully in aluminum and powdercoated

the KB Voodoo ones dont have the edge hanging down.

    I can look into it!

and I could have paid it off last year, but with everything going on I decided the interest was low enough that it didn’t really matter lol
