Yes, the pre-2020s can only access that data when hooked up. The 2020+ can transmit it over cellular. Supposedly, there is a buried opt out that you guys can select.

Just a FYI, anyone comming up on 200k on their 2nd gen truck? Mine has 208k now and the secondary air pump is gone. the brushes are all the way done. So if your so inclined replace it b4 it goes bad cause it drates the engine and that sucks.

For the 1GR, yeah 2012-2015 on Tacomas, and if I remember correctly 2012-present on 4Runners. The 2.7L 4-cyl had it since 2005.

@Windigo on your replacement pump, take out the internal foam filter and put a Uni Filter on the outside, if you haven't already.

Got it! I always seen the threads of the problems but never looked into it since it didn’t pertain to my truck.

Is the pump a smog thing or does it actually have a purpose for performance?

Smog thing. The pump injects air into the exhaust manifold to reduce emissions (NOx if I remember correctly) and to heat up the cats faster. In addition to the expensive pump, the switching valves and plumbing are exposed to hot exhaust gases and are prone to fail as well.

More Electricians get hurt or killed every year than the Police and Firefighters combined....

Trying to accommodate people working from home, I only shut down a small section of the building and started working...

    Learned my lesson...

Feed from a 600Amp 208Volt panel was hidden in a cement and plaster wall without any conduit around it....
and I just barely touched it and...

I almost became a statistic today...

    bang_33b159ff1a1da9d105286e74880576d1c2883103.jpg

After I shut the power down to fix that mess and a few others I found in that wall...
Bunch of tenants came down to where I was working and started demanding that I turn power back on ...

I first explained nicely that I had to have power off cause it was too dangerous to work live...

Then the entitled lead Karen, says they don't care because their work was very important...

Lol I went full drill Sargent on them...
explained in a not so nice way that there is nothing happening in their pathetic careers that is more important than my life.

They shut up and scattered real quick...

Building super said they heard me "roar at them" from 5 floors down... lol I guess I still got it...

Waiting for @Joe23 to chime in.

glad you are okay though! I find people forget about the world around them when they have an issue. Crazy the world we live in.

Oh I'm going to be real popular with the tenants on the upper floors when,
I now will be shutting down whole risers (so shutting down all the panels on the floors directly above me) when I'm working.
And not just on the unit we are working on... (well at least 'till the cutting and sledgehammering is done).

Only 34 more panels to go.... (in this stage)...

Then it's back to my "nice safe" 13.8kV Hydro Vaults at the end of the month...

At least people don't keep whining when you say " I have to shut down your 13,000 Volt system to work on it"

Well this was an "exploritory" one as it was the first one in that building for the cut out and relocate...
so I was with the Master electrician and Owner,

They'd never seen feeder wires done in any building this way, (they're in their in their 60's)
and the way we found out that the wire mesh in the walls was well grounded
(and hiding the AC signal when we checked the wall for voltage)
was when the NC tester said there was no power there (after the blast)
he touched the exposed copper with his meter to see if there was still power there...
and I guess part of his probe was also touching the mesh...
BAM! One probe tip gone .... One side of his glasses blackened...

Glad we found this crap before the demolition and renovation crews start coming in there...
all those unprotected feeder wires are going to be on a kitchen wall,
right where all the cabinets were going to be screwed in...
Lol they are going to need a new plan...

(building plans showed these feeds in conduit in an adjacent wall btw)
lol must have been a mob built building in it's day...

And this is part of the reason I didn't become a civil engineer - shit doesn't get built to blueprint and they still prosecute you after an accident.

Tell Karen if her work is truly important, she should have bought an uninterruptible power supply...
