My apologies if this has been asked. I finally pulled the trigger on VFTuner. I have a pedal commander, should I take it off or just leave?

You don't need the PC with vF, but I know some folks who kept it.

This has been discussed before and it creates a potentially dangerous situation with the accelerator.

Sorry, but I cannot tell you that. I have always been okay with throttle response on DI engines. The Stock Taco tunes sucked for me due to other reasons. I do know that the vF Tune Pack files will allow you to customize the throttle response depending on the file and octane and that can be tuned even further with some editing.

from my person experience: i was running a pedal commander first, then i got tuned. Originally i kept the pedal commander on.

However, i started to get strange issues related to the pedal commander for example. You'd press on the gas lightly (just to slowly move forward from stop) and you'd get almost no response. Then the more you press the truck would just full on accelerate 3k+ RPMs like it was trying to catch up from the lag response. This wasn't a consistent problem, but every once in a while (maybe once ever 1-2 weeks) this would happen. Obviously thats not very safe, and i didn' twant my wife driving the truck if that happened. Ended up just pulling the pedal commander off and selling it.

You'll be fine without it and from person experience i'd run it without it.
