Hello TacomaWorld! I'm excited to join the forum and my Tacoma should be delivered about 1300 miles in the next few weeks. I had trouble deciding between Midnight, White, Army, but in the end the truck with the options I wanted was in Midnight.

2021 Tacom TRD OFFRD 4x4 DC
    Midnight Black Metallic (Leather)
TRD Premium Off-Road Package with options $6,000 w/Multi-Terrain Monitor
    Alloy Wheel Locks
All-Weather Floor Liners and Door Sill Protectors
    Blackout Emblem Overlays

I also wanted the Predator Package or Steps and a cover but I will add that once it's delivered. If anyone has ideas on how to make this truck look a little more bold I'd be happy to chat, but I'll be browsing the forums for ideas for sure.

    Things I will add
    1. Steps/Predator?
    2. Cover?
    3. Mud Flaps?

    Not sure what else yet.

    Welcome!
    More BOLD?
2-2.5 inch lift with a nice set of more aggressive wheels and tires. Nothing will do more for it's BOLDNESS than that.

(Edit) Maybe and OME lift. Wheels, a good 17X9 with 5-10mm negative offset.
    Tires- Cooper Max's, WildPeak's or Nitto's in say 285/70/17

I didn't realize new trucks don't come with mud flaps. I dont know about 3rd gens but the OEM 2nd gens are hard plastic. You can always go with some aftermarket flaps that have some flex. Even driving over a curb or such will scrape my original flaps

    Welcome

Yeah I was surprised myself, it has the $6000 add on package but no mud flaps haha. That will be easy to add. I really want to add some type of steps/bar, that is what I will need to look at around the forums to see what people like. I myself like the looks of the predator steps add-on but maybe there are better options.

Sorry can't help with the steps but I'm sure you'll find plenty of options and pictures on this site. Curious though, do you like the looks of them or want the functionality?

Welcome to the waiting room! I have been here a few weeks and still pending a delivery date. Too many mods in the works already. It is a good time to sort out what you want and then buy with the November sales going on. It's going to be a few weeks before most stuff gets delivered anyway.

I am skipping steps and ordered sliders from MobTown. Btw one tip I saw was cut a slit from the bolt holes on the plastic mudflaps so they don't rip your fender too if you back against something.

CBI front bumper is also high on my list after having a deer strike in the past take out my hood latch going down the interstate... not fun

I would say its 50/50 for each, the look and functionality. I also have kids who will be getting in the truck. It's not big like a Tundra but will make stepping in easier for them.

Yeah I was watching some YouTube videos with sliders, those look good. Thanks for the tips on mudflaps/sales. Did you go with these: https://mobtownoffroad.com/product/2016-2020-toyota-tacoma-heavy-duty-bolt-on-rock-slider/ ?

Welcome! I'd recommend the mudflaps, runningboards and the tonneau cover for sure

Thanks! I've seen people mention Rekgen, Tufskinz, RokBlokz and OEM mudflaps, I would like to check them off my list and then go to the runningboards and cover. I have these on my "maybe" list so far. RekGen Amazon and RokBlokz Amazon

    감사합니다

Yes I got the HD version, but consider that one angles up a bit.

There is another version they have that just bolts onto the side of the frame which is 0 angle so it is straight out. That would be better if you need to use it as a step regularly.

I don't have the link handy but search TW for like step or slider rubber mod, use a cut piece of harbor freight rubber step pad and stick it on with super glue.

With a good 2-2.5" inch lift you can go up another tire size or 2 beyond 265/75/16. Without chopping on the frame or changing out the UCA's.

Welcome OP nice truck you have there. Before getting yourself down the endless mod rabbit hole first thing I'd do is aftermarket wheels and tires with a mild lift (2"-3"). My wife says the stock Tacoma looks like a grandpa truck without bigger wheels and tires and a lift. Either way OP this is where the real fun begins and remember...
