I love mine. Not OEM though.
I don't do any serious offroading, so I got it mainly for the looks.

I ended up getting mine used and it works well for light off road adventures but if you are planning on doing any serious crawling its better to go with a steel option, in my opinion. I swapped out the red lettering for black letters since the red letters were starting to show their age. It was a bit of a pain to install but I like it. Down the road I might swap out the steps, skid plate, and bumper guard for better off road options but for now this suits my needs.

How did you swap out lettering to Black? That’s a option? Thanks bro

It's not an option as much as I just removed the old red lettering and replaced it with an after market version, I am pretty sure I used Tuffskinz if I remember correctly.

I came here for the skid plates and noticed your Avid bumper guard. Do you have any side shots? I'm curious how far it sticks out.

I love the look of the Pro skid plate. I don't believe it is the best option money wise however I had the dealer throw one in for free so I don't really care. I could always sell it and buy aftermarket but I do not wheel that hard to need anything different. I like how it complements the truck.

Was the installation easy for install by yourself without a lift? What torque did you use in the bolts? Thanks!

Installation is pretty straight forward. I recommend cutting open the box so it’s completely flat so you can lay on it and position the skid plate on the box under the truck so you don’t scratch up the skid plate just yet. Get all the bolts threaded by hand first so you don’t cross thread. I didn’t torque anything down since. The four big beefy bolts you can use some muscle on, the rear smaller bolts i wouldn’t go crazy on just get them tight.

Here are the shots I have on hand at the moment. Let me know if this works or I can take a photo when I get home.

I found sitting on the ground with the Skid Plate on my legs the easiest way to install as it's a little awkward heavy. Torque specs are in the box too.

It’s a weaker design than the aftermarket skids but it costs about the same, ships fast, bolts right on in 15min, and looks good. I slipped off a rock onto the skid and it did it’s job. The OR splash plate would have most likely caved in. But on the TRD skid the rock left a scar but the skid didn’t bend. It’s hit the ground a handful of other times but nothing too scary. So far so good.

I used a bungee strap to hold it in place while I threaded the bolts.

So last night, my buddy and I, installed the skid plate and change the oil/filter while already underneath. 4 bolts had to be removed from the chassis and it is definitively two man job if you care about aesthetics..
I will post some pictures as soon as I take some...Looks sweet IMO

I do not off-road often or "rock crawl" on MOAB, but it has taken some good hits and is a scratched, dented, etc.. Overall, seems to hold up well.

Has anybody installed the skid plate and has a bull bar? Wondering if there are spacing issues?

Use the taco for basic off-roading. Would not go without it.

Installed today, love it. 89% an asthetic choice, not much crawling but lots of back roads..unsure about the red though.
