I had lots of squeaking and vibration. I was thinking it was a pulley going bad but after fixing my driveshaft the squeaking went away.

There's a good video on YouTube of what it sounds like. Sorry no link but it helped diagnose mine.

I had a pretty bad vibration, starting at 25-35 mph then 60-70 mph, one mechanic told me it was a torque converter shudder, I changed all ATF but it didn't help. I just put a 3 inch lift on my truck (I know not a good idea with a vibration issue) but my time is limited andvi had to instal it. Now the vibrations are basically gone, I know, it sounds crazy, but i think the drive train angle is putting different pressure on the carrier bearing. All vibrations are not gone but almost, I'm thinking it's either the bearing or u -joints.

But the bearings wear out. I suggest getting OEM carrier

Yeah, everything I've read about the carrier bearing says only oem is good, at least it's not my torque converter, thank God!

Hey OP I ended up going with a 1 piece driveshaft since I had a broken yoke but I have u-joints and a carrier bearing that I bought from Drivetrain America. I'll sell it to you for less than I paid if you're interested.

Mine began giving vibes at takeoff, stronger the harder I hit the gas. Now it squeaks and sounds like a belt slipping but only when giving it gas or slowing down by downshifting. When looking under the truck the driveshaft should be sitting in the middle of all the rubber, but mine is sitting way too low which means it's advanced. Last time it went bad it was just the squeak with no vibes. Replaced it two years ago with same symptoms, either with oem or spicer, but I'm gonna slap another Spicer on there soon. I know my lift, gears, and 35's aren't doing me any favors, but I'm curious if anyone knows of something else you can do to prevent wear? Is this the purpose of carrier bearing drops?
