I'm a fairly new Tacoma owner (May 2020). I have a 2016 Limited with 265/60/18 Tires. Stock size, I believe. Can anyone tell me how large I can go with new tires on the stock wheels without any modifications? If I also decide to spring for wheels too, what offset would work best? I don't want to make any lift modifications as the truck height is just right for me. Thanks!

A good starting point is the tire calculator.

A larger dia tire will lift the truck by the difference in radius. I went from 215 75 to 235 75 on my 5 lug and increased ground clearance 1".

Once you know your equivalency options you can go from there.

IIRC.....the largest OEM on Toyota Tacoma is a 17" wheel........

You may be riding on aftermarket rims already.

I asked this same question just a few days ago. In the end I decided to stick with the stock size. If you go bigger you have to update you spare as well. And you might have to relocate where you mount your spare if you went too big. In the end, it's just not worth the extra money.

OP says he has a Limited. Limited have 18" wheels. OP has 18"OEM wheels.

Or you could not... Spend some time in the wheel and tire forum.. see what those numbers on the side of your tire really mean.

OP most would recommend you step down from your 18 to a 17" or 16" wheel. That would give you more sidewall and the ability to run more aggressive all terrain or off road type tires. You can get sizes that match the overall size you have now, or even go a bit bigger.

267/70R17 are as big as you want to go with stock suspension/OEM offsets.
There are literally a thousand of these threads.

OP never mentioned going off-road, so he could just be going for aesthetics.

Thanks for the help. Didn't think about the spare, so that adds another wrinkle. Also, what's the thought these days on Blackwall vs. White letters?

    Not off-roading. Aesthetics only.

Black wall is more popular by a long shot, but don't let people judge what you prefer. Do what you like.

Michelin Defenders. May not look 'tough' like all the cool kids, but outstanding pavement pounders. Great wet/dry grip. Quiet, smooth.

Clear water is a good dude. Always looking out for the new guys. He helped me in my thread to. Thanks Dude.

OP, if aesthetics is the main thing, get a quite tire. Aggressive looking tires make crazy sounds on the highways. It'll drive you nuts I heard.
