Built Tough

The RSI SmartCap is forged from strong automotive grade stainless steel. It’s designed to hold up to 330lbs of gear when in motion and a whopping 770lbs when static.

Innovation Meets Design

The RSI SmartCap is the world’s first modular truck cap. Each cap is shipped to your doorstep with five individual pieces. The modular design means easier to ship and easier to install. Installation can be accomplished in under an hour with basic hand tools. On the top of every cap is a Positive Pressure Air Vent that filters fresh air into the cap at a greater velocity than the enclosed bed is capable of sucking air in. This unique feature helps minimize road dust on the interior keeping your gear clean and the dust out.

Grand Opening

SmartCap’s feature a unique gullwing door that are approximately 17% larger than the majority of the fiberglass caps on the market today. This translates to more access and an easier time reaching your cargo or RSI SmartComponent.

The Elements

The RSI SmartCap is truly a cap for every season. Bring on rain, snow, freezing temperatures or howling winds. The modular design and stainless steel construction features an innovative sealing method that when properly installed make the cap complete weatherproof. A cap that is truly design to match your truck and explore the great outdoors.

Speedy Install and Removal

Once the cap is installed, the innovative fastening system allows you to quickly and easily install/remove the cap in about 15 minutes. If you’re needing more bed space or just want to remove the cap when not in use, the RSI SmartCap provide you the ultimate flexibility with minimal time and effort.

Mount Up

Integrated into the top of every cap is a sleekly designed pair of roof rails. These rails feature a t-slot which allows you to integrate a number of items from companies like Yakima, Thule, FrontRunner and so many more.

SmartComponents

SmartComponents easily attach and integrate with the SmartCap. From SmartBins for storage to the SmartKitchen for dinner prep under the stars, no other cap features such a variety of components.

Warranty

All RSI SmartCaps are backed by a 3 year comprehensive manufacturer warranty on all parts and craftsmanship.


Pricing

Offroad Alliance is offering free LTL freight shipping on all RSI SmartCaps (a savings of up to $250) during this initial product launch within the lower 48 states. The RSI Evo caps (black stainless steel) are $3695 and the RSI EvoC Contractor series caps (all white stainless steel) are $3195. Price wise, these caps are priced comparably to other similarly outfitted fiberglass caps from brands like Leer.

All Tacoma caps will be available and ready for shipment in early September. Some accessories are available now, others will be available in the October time frame.

That’s really nice. Saw this on their Instagram earlier in a cement truck. Drooling but putting on my list of stuff to save for

 

The paint we use on a SmartCap is as brilliant as the cap itself. Our 2K Graco spray painting facility utilizes color data direct from the truck manufacturer—ensuring the cap is as color correct as can be.* That’s a beautiful thing, front and back. Please note, we will unfortunately not be offering our Custom Color Program until the current Covid 19 issues start to allow for consistency in shipping. We expect to begin offering Custom Colors later this year.

Seriously considering this when custom colors are offered. Would Love it color matched to Cement.

From what we've been told, the custom finishes on the caps are quite a ways out if they do offer them at all. We'll continue to update everyone as we learn more. But for now, don't hold your breath.

 

No love for the 2nd gen? I'd be interested in this for my 2007

 

No RSI love for the second gen. Right now the SmartCap is only available for the third gen.

The Tacoma 5ft RSI cap is on a nationwide backorder. ETA for more right now is January 31st. 6ft bed caps still in stock.

Yea, these caps have been crazy popular. But they are really well made and have some great features. There is a disclaimer on our website about lead times in the product description. But easy enough to miss it. We'll get it to you just as quickly as possible!

 

If a guy was to order one right now, is it just a deposit we get charged or the full amount?

 

Again lead time is 60ish days based on current RSI incoming forecasts and it's full price. No tax for NV and we've extended our free freight shipping within the lower 48 states.

 

Can one of these be seen in Brockton?

 

We've got a lot of great stuff in the shop, but no RSI caps. We had one, but it sold. Super hard to keep these in stock, even a display!

 

I agree. I been looking for a cap and this is what I was wanting. Lot of demand out there for 2nd gen I bet. I would buy one now if they made one for a 2011 short bed double cab.. This awesome cap.
