I just used the stock plug. Drill a big hole for the wiring and 2 small holes for the bolts.

A few mods here and there and counting....
Yes. 2nd and 3rd gen suspension is interchangeable. The stock 3rd gen front suspension will net you a 1in lift on a 2nd gen.

Yesterday when I was repositioning my rear view mirror, I inadvertently discovered a menu on it. I'm sure many of you know about this already but I imagine a lot don't. If you hold the power button, an options menu comes up in the rear view camera spot, allowing you to customize the display color (Green, Orange, White, Blue), the compass zone (which mine was off), turning the icy road warning on/off, and a couple other things. Just wanted to share this if you have an electronic rear view mirror.

No problem! I like the white because it's a little more subtle, instead of the bright green.

@Tacoma13_NC I have a 2013 Tacoma as well for me. I changed the color on mine to white as well for the same reason as you, but I turned the Road Icing off because the snowflake for road icing doesn't change color with the Compass and Temperature. It will always be bright green. The different color between the white Temp Compass and bright green snow flake would always catch my eye on my mirror scans or catch my peripheral vision and make me glance at the rear-view mirror like there was something behind me.

Same reason I turned mine off too. I didn't mind it before until there was a color contrast, then it became distracting.

On my 2015 SR5, 3rd gen TRD OR’s pretty much leveled my truck out with the factory rear suspension.

Okay everyone, here is my updated post with pictures on getting an organizer underneath the center console. I originally did this with a 3M sticky adhesive but it did not work. So back to the store I went (Ace Hardware) to get some bolts & huts to get this thing permanently attached.

    IMG_4227.jpg

This is what it looks like once you cut into the material so the latch can close. I did the bear minimum and I should have cut more material. The backing a hard plastic that provides a good base so it can be mounted.IMG_4226.jpg

After you remove the back plate with the 4 screws, you may need to cut down the plastic depending on where the screws are in the backing plate and how long they are.

    IMG_4223.jpg

As you can see, I could have gotten a shorter bolt or cut it off with a grinder etc... I did not have these tools handy which is why I had to cut into the backing a little more than I would have had to normally.

    IMG_4222.jpg

Here is a picture of the flush bolt that I got at the store and it does not affect the holder whatsoever and now it will not fall off due to high heat from the sun in the truck or from off-roading.
