Welp, found my next mod (I think). Rock lights! Is anyone using the YotaMafia rock light kit? I’m thinking about getting the 6 light kit with the additional hood light and the additional control switch.

Anyone have any input in the quality? I like the idea of it working with the cargo/bed lights and being plug and play.

I like lights. I’ve had the Yotamafia kit installed for about a year now and it’s been great. No issues. The additional control switch wasn’t available when I bought mine. I just control it with the cargo light switch.

Is that with the 4 or 6 light kit? Not referring to the two on the hood. Also, is that the hood kit that they have as an add on to the rock light kit?

I started with the 6 light kit and then added 3 more lights to the Yotamafia harness. I didn’t want the lights mounted inside the wheel wells because it creates too large of a shadow from the tires. I have the lights in front and behind of each tire and one pretty much in the center.

I’ve been looking at purchasing this kit as well. Seems to be a good kit. I’m curious about it too

I have the six light kit installed in my truck. Its a well put together set with all the plugs and wires already assembled. Only a couple holes need to be drilled and it was pretty straight forward. I added an override switch so I can pair the rock lights with the bed light or independently.

My only complaint might be that the lights don't get good coverage on the forward edge of the truck where lighting is most needed at night. It lights up the center and sides pretty well though.

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. I’m guessing you used their directions on where to drill and everything for the install. I wonder if adjusting the mounting position would allow for more full coverage?

Yes I followed their directions for the install. You could definitely get better coverage by moving the wheel well lights to the outboard ends of the tires. I'm not sure their wiring harness is long enough to support that, which negates the purpose of buying their kit. If you're going to drastically change the location of the lights you'd probably be better off buying the light pods individually and making your own harnesses.

Curious if anyone knows if you can use this yota mafia kit with @MESO puddle lights and puddle light switch kit. Not sure if the @DSIM meso splitter will work with the puddle light switch kit. It’s been a while since I installed It.

Is it possible one of the wires from the rock light doesn’t have the grommet on it and is grounding out? Maybe you can try disconnecting them all and connecting them one by one to see which one is causing the problem.

I'm gonna heat shrink all of them and see if that works.

What did you heat shrink? The connectors or where the wires are running through drilled holes?
