    Good afternoon dudes and dudets!
I have a question concerning wheels and lifts. I recently bought some stealth6 16x8 -25 wheels and have a 2.5 inch bilstein 5100 lift on a 2008 taco. I went to get tires at discount tire and was told by a sales rep that the wheels wouldn’t work with my current setup. Are there any charts or forums where I can find a solution? If anyone has had a different experience or is knowledgeable in this area I’d love to hear about it! Thanks for your help!

What specifically did they say was the problem? Did the wheels hit the calipers? Did they even try to fit the wheels on the hubs?

They did not, not gonna lie the salesperson kinda spooked me because he took one look at the wheels and made the determination that they’d never fit because of the offset being -25. Also I was worried that if I did get the wrong size installing the wheels would not allow me to return them.

I have the exact same wheels and have never had an issue even before I was lifted.

What size tires did you end up putting on?

Ran 265/65r16 for a while before I got a lift and now I run 285/75r16’s. These wheels are designed for Toyotas. No reason they won’t work.

He said that because if he installs a tire that’s of decent size, rubbing is inevitable. You’re going to for sure have to cut and trim fender liner with that offset.

As a business they probably just have a stupid policy of some sort against installing wheels that they know will rub
You might just rub a little bit at full turn with -25, that’s if you go 265/75/16 and at stock height
Anything bigger you might start rubbing the cab mount
^all to the best of my knowledge, hope this helps
