I did a few searches on the forums and google. I know that there are vendors on TW that have bedracks that work with Tonneau Covers. What I haven't seen is whether or not anyone has made it work with 2nd Gen trucks.

Bakflip MX4 mounts to the rails just wondering if someone has either modified a bed rack or the railing system for the MX4. I was thinking of ordering Mobtown Offroad bed rack and see about doing some mod myself to make it work. Before I did, figured I'd ask if anyone has done it here.

And yes I know, I can just as "easily" remove the entire bakflip system and put on bed racks when I need them, but just looking to have best of both worlds. Not so OCD about full water proofing, mainly weather resistant secure storage and bed rack that is modular.

im sure you can modify your backflip but since its a tri fold, you might need a higher bed rack probably cab height so when flipping the tonneau back it wont get in the way that's the only idea I can think of if it was a roll tonneau you would be good

I was thinking that or a modular one that allows the cross bars to come off as well, basically able to use the sides for mounting, and when I needed the top portion for an RTT or rack storage I can throw it on. Gonna have the MacGyver the hell out of it

voodoo makes a bracket that can go with the tonneau cover but for me I have a roll one and bed rack since I wanted to cover up my bed but still have rack, I think you can modify the bed back with a backflip roll one

I have a Bakflip and I was considering making a Back to the future style light bar that mounted to the bed rails. When you flip the tonneau vertical, the corners stick waaaaaaaay out past the angled lines of the cab. So, that idea went out the window. So, the only way your bedrack would work is if the bars went straight vertical for at least the height of the bakflip panels. That's going to be almost to the top of the cab. It's basically going to look like a ladder rack with straight vertical supports.

@Superman910 - did you end up putting a Headache Rack on the truck with the bakflip mx4 in place? If so, which one did you use?
